Point of View
The restaurant that was first built on 1940 took the right journey
until it
became the world’s leading food service retailer. It gained its
outstanding
brand picture worldwide selling to millions of customers per day.
However, in
spite of the company’s sustenance of quality and progress in
multiple aspects
like what the public evidences, in the perspective of the company
and other
parties involved, it reveals a more difficult and complex view.
It deals with people beyond the industry; everything that is
interconnected and affected by the company’s procedures, way of
business,
compositions, and structures. Prior to those matters, they bring
uncertainty and
threat to the company both in short and long term scope.
III. Time Context
Over the years, consumers further seek for quicker, more efficient
and
convenient way to acquire food. In the 20th century, the
McDonald’s
Corporation encountered more distinctive cases.
In 1990, activists started to discredit McDonald’s which still
occurred until
2006 in concern for the environmental protection issues and in
2009 because of
other social issues involving globalization and poverty. Most of the
issues
publicized in 2009 which worsened the unsteady status of
economics and
increasing number of competitors both in local and high-rise
corporations.
IV. Statement of the Problem
The complexity of internal and external factors brings only one
primary
claim to the organization and that is to parallel them to the overall
operations in
conformity to the business’ mission statement.
The following are the concerns and predicament situations that
the
corporation must address upon:
1. What are the factors causing the affairs of the corporation
between its
sociopolitical environments?
