Introduction:

The Celtic way of prayer is essentially a way of

life. Patrician Spirituality is based on Celtic
Spirituality Where the Breastplate of St. Patrick
comes from. It is inclusive of all life, work, play,
relationships, pilgrimage, giving a wholeness of
being centered on Christ.
Circling prayers, also known as Caim prayers
(from the Irish gaelic meaning “protecting”,
“encircling”, “sanctuary”, or “circle”) has been
passed down from the ancient Celtic Church,
and are used to create a ring of safety around
one's self and their beloveds. The “caim”
involves simply drawing a circle around yourself
or another person physically or in your
imagination. This encircling prayer is grounded
in our awareness of the constant companionship
and protection of the divine. It reminds us that
God is in this place and God’s ever-present
companionship and protection.

Hymn:
Footsteps walking with me
Footsteps I cannot see
But every move I make
And every step I take
I know they're there with me.

They walk with me all the way

Beside me day by day
Through good and bad
Through happy and sad
Those footsteps won't go away.

I'll never walk in life alone

There'll always be someone there
I know He won't let me down
He's with me everywhere

The special things in life I've done

Have been through Him and His love
I've been blessed in so many ways
Thanks to the Lord above

They walk with me all the way

Beside me day by day
Through good and bad
Through happy and sad
Those footsteps won't go away

Prayer Jar:
At the center we have placed four prayer jar
which consists of the names of the Brothers in
our province, the names of our Institutions, the
names of the Leaders of Our Congregation and
the names of the Deceased Brothers.

These prayer jars will be placed in the Celtic

Cross and the brothers would stand around and
join hands to pray for the protection of the
Divine on the members of the Congregation and
the Institutions.

May the circling prayer remind us that we are

within God’s circle of loving protection.

Closing Song - Circle Me

Lyrics and Music by Jeff Johnson

1. Circle me, O God, let Your arms enfold me,

Circle me, O God, let Your love surround.
Circle me, O God, let Your light shine brightly,
Circle me, circle me, O God.

2. Circle me, O God, when I’m weak and weary,

Circle me, O God, when despair is near.
Circle me, O God, let Your peace surround me,
Circle me, circle me, O God.

3. Circle me, O God, when I’m tired and restless,

Circle me, O God, be my hope, my strength.
Circle me, O God, let Your presence guide me,
Circle me, circle me, O God.
