signal set by CPU form as pulse width modulation (PWM) control signal after error magnification. Then it
becomes the driving signal of the circuit.
Major contra-variant device adopts intellectual power module (IPM), and forms a complete circuit via
high-voltage transformer.
Tube voltage sampling is conducted at two sides, which is obtained after high-voltage resistance

2.3 Circuit Explanations

2.3.1 Theoretical Introduction
a. Power Control
When press the power-on key (refer to Section 5.3.1) on the panel, the main body, hoist motor and beam
limiting device motor make contact with electricity. While the image intensifier and television system are
powered independently.
b. Work Status and Switch-over Control
The equipment can be under three status, namely manual radioscopy, ABC radioscopy and radiography. The
switch-over is conducted by pressing on corresponding keys on the panel. Manual radioscopy is the normal
status of the equipment, which can be switched to ABC radioscopy and radiography status. (Refer to
Section 5.3.3).
c. Manual Radioscopy
Under normal manual radioscopy status, kV and mA values are determined by keys. Press the foot brake,
the equipment starts to operate with load. Set a balance between kV, mA and sampling kV、mA, then the
main machine enters stable working status. If the operator changes radioscopy values of kV and mA, it will
reach a new balance.
d. ABC Radioscopy
Enter ABC status, manual radioscopy kV and mA value setting is invalid. The main machine pre-sets
the value of 60kV and 1.0mA. Press the foot brake, the equipment starts loaded operation. Use digital ABC
signals to control the designated kV and mA values, the sampling value of kV and mA will in balance with
the designated kV and mA values
e. Radiography Exposure
Enter radiography status. Radioscopy kV and mA setting and the setting of ABC kV and mA are invalid.
Radiographic kV, mA and mAs conditions are selected by relevant keys. After gear I of manual brake
functions, the apparatus firstly heat the filament. As soon as the filament is heated, press gear II of the
manual brake, then the equipment starts loaded operation. At the same time, computer begins testing kV and
mA conditions.

5
f. Computer Testing
X-ray apparatus employs 8031 monoboard computer as the control device that monitors seven
parameters when the equipment is under loaded operation.
When the tested results exceed the permitted range, it will cut off the operation of the main machine and
display corresponding breakdown code. (See Table 5.1).
g. Breakdown Debugging
Breakdowns are divided into serious ones (hardware) and general faults (software). For general faults,
Press any key you can resume to general status. For serious breakdowns, operator shall turn off the power to
check. Do not re-start the equipment until the breakdown or failure has been debugged, then the equipment
enters normal status.

storage button. At this time, the monitor screen will instantly displays numbers (01~25), indicating the storage
serial number of the image. Thus, the storage of the image is completed. If more images are to be stored, please
repeat this step.

D. Load Image
1 Make sure the image control system is in stand-by state, i.e. no real-time flouroscopy image is displayed
on the monitor.
2 With the storage choose button look over the image in the storage, and screen shows corresponding
number(01~25) at the same time.
3 When the Power-off button is pressed, the stored images in the memory will be lost. Please pay attention
to it.

E. Last Fame image

1 When the Flouroscopy button is in UP state, the last image is stored and kept.

amount of lubricating oil (grease) onto the surface of lead screw.
7.5.3 Electric Maintenance
Regularly start the apparatus for an hour, press and check each key to ensure they work well.
After the apparatus is switched on, conduct trial operation for hoist column and the beam limiting device
to ensure their normal operation.
After the apparatus is switched on, conduct radiography and perspective exposure to ensure their normal
operation.
The fuse (RT18-32, 20A) of the apparatus may cut off during operation. The
identification method is: when the apparatus is powered on, observe the red
NOTICE indication light on the fuse socket. If the light becomes bright, it means the fuse
is broken and needs replacement.

When replacing the fuse, firstly pull out the power plug, open the fuse socket,
then replace the broken fuse with a new one.
