This module is intended to help you, learners, understand and master the concepts in
using transition signals. It is designed to equip you with essential knowledge about the said
topic and skills in transition signals.

One big word that we can say about the bridge is that it is made because it helps
“CONNECT” whether places or people together.

Transition Signals – are used as cohesive devices that can help to connect ideas in
sentences and paragraphs. They also indicate building up new idea or thought or
compare or draw conclusions.

Transition words are like bridges that help and connect sentences and paragraphs
and for them to have coherence.
Common Types and Functions of Transition Words

1. Transitions that (add, repeat, and emphasize) – add information or reinforces
