Acitivity 1

1. Human memory is the processes that are used to acquire, store, retain and later retrieve information.
It involves three domains: encoding, storage, and retrieval. Encoding is the process of getting
infromation into memory. If information or stimuli never gets encoded, it will never be remembered.

2. Information-processing theory has definite educational implications for students with learning and
behavior problems. Teachers with a greater understanding of the theory and how it is formed to, select
learning strategies in order to improve the retention and retrieval of learning.

Activity 2

1. Mnemonic techniques can include songs, perms, rhymes, outlines, images and acronyms. Mnemonics
give meaning to something ordinary to make it more memorable when you try to recall it. This
technique is useful for storing information in both your short- and long- term memory.

2. Experts say that mild memory loss is perfectly normal -- especially as we age. That's right, if you
sometimes forget simple things, you're not necessarily developing Lazheimer's disease.

Activity 3

From the module on Information Processing, I realized that... Information processing theory is dealing
with how the learners receive, perceive, store and retrieve information. It is also deal with how person
thinks about and interprets what he/she receives shapes what he/she will learn.
