These are the rules for all of the currently available official speed-run formats
Those who wish to participate in trying to obtain the fastest run (here in after known as a “Participant”)
must adhere to the rules of their respective speed-run format.
All speed-run video recordings must show the car selection screen and the racing realm selection screen
at the beginning of the recording.
All speed-runs must be submitted in a recorded video format in the pa-records-video chat with the
following formatting to be considered a valid run in any format. This is done for standardization to make
speed run verification easier for the Records Council.
Examples:
(Storm Realm)(Nocut)(Reverb)(6:45:07)(V6.0.0)
(Storm Realm)(Realistic)(Reverb)(6:45:07)(V6.0.0)
For some racing realms like the Ice realm, there are multiple different speed-runs that can be done. The
different speed-run routes have names that need to be input in the formatting when posting your video
in the pa-records-video discord chat. See the Racing Realm Specific Rules for route names. Not every
racing realm with multiple routes has multiple official speed-run routes. On all of the racing realms with
multiple routes but no listed route names in the Racing Realm Specific Rules, you can use whatever
legal route for your speed-run format to reach the end of the racing realm as fast as possible. Routes are
only used in the Nocut and Realistic speed-run formats. For the Any% and Cut speed-run formats you
can use any route to get to the end of the realm as fast as possible including leaving the track. You do
not list or specify routes in the Any% and Cut speed-run formats when formatting your submission post.
Below are examples of how to format speed-runs with multiple routes when posting your video in the
pa-records discord chat.
Speed-run submissions are only eligible for the most recently released version of Project Acceleracers.
As soon as a new update is released, submissions for speed-runs in all speed-run formats are closed for
the previous now outdated version of Project Acceleracers. At this point in time, there is no official way
for participants to download old versions of Project Acceleracers. Therefore, only the most recent
release will be counted for new official speed-run submissions.
Any%
Any% is a run where anything goes, find the fastest time at any cost
Participation requirements
Participants MUST provide video evidence of their run. You must show the car selection screen and the
realm selection screen on your run video so the records council can verify which boxes are checked on
those screens. You are no longer allowed to stream runs for records. All runs can only be submitted as
recorded videos via the pa-record-videos discord channel.
Participant may be asked to provide evidence of their game version in the run correlating with the game
version of the format they entered
This may include the participant being asked to re-do the record attempt if there are any suspicions of
foul play
Participant is not required to record their voice or the audio from the game
Vehicle requirements
Vehicle faction abilities are allowed. When driving a Racing Drone vehicle this means if you have an
accelecharger you do get to use that accelecharger multiple times per the Racing Drones faction ability.

Accelecharger requirements
Miscellaneous
All speed-runs must start in the acceledrome. Recording will start earlier from showing the car selection
screen and the realm selection screen.
You are not allowed to use Nitrox while in the acceledrome or while on the racing realm loading screen.
This is due to holding down the Nitrox button on the racing realm loading screen can give you a huge
speed boost at the start of the race. This boost is called Launch Lag. The amount of Launch Lag is
dependent on each individual participant’s hardware. As such, Launch Lag will be considered an exploit
for all speed-run formats and is not allowed. As soon as you load into a racing realm Nitrox can be used.
Debug menu may be used. This means you are allowed to increase the amount of accelechargers and
Nitrox you have for the race in this speed-run format.
Cut runs are an easier form of Nocuts, however there are some restrictions

Nocut runs are the purest expression of one’s game prowess and should be treated as such

Vehicle faction abilities must not be used in nocut runs since they can provide a lasting advantage
Driving requirements
Exceptions being off-road sections in realms such as in Fog but not Taro’s route in Ice Realm or shortcuts
in Lava realm as they are considered separate tracks

Ice Realm:
Karma Route: When you begin the Ice Realm follow the Ice onto the regular track.
Taro Route: When you begin the Ice Realm go to the right down the hill into the cave.
Labyrinth Realm:
No applicable rulings for this racing realm.
Lava Realm:
Safe Route: Only use “safe” routes. Safe routes are routes that do not cause heat damage to your
vehicle. Go right at first split. Go left at the second split (don’t take the path on the mountain). Go left at
the third split.
Hot Route: Use any number of the “hot” routes. Hot routes are routes that can deal heat damage to
your vehicle. You are not required to take all of the “hot” routes, but taking any of them makes your run
a Hot Route run.
Metro Realm:
Two Cities Route: Drive through only two cities in the Metro Realm.
Three Cities Route: Drive through three cities in the Metro Realm.
Micro Realm:
Driving on the slanted edges on either side of the track on the Micro Realm is allowed for the Nocut and
Realistic speed-run formats. You are technically still on the track and this is no different than driving on
the white edge of the regular orange racing track on other racing realms. Having said the above, this is
significantly slower than driving in the traffic and risking getting hit by the Chevelles.
Monument Realm:
Using any vehicle to squeeze through the clear barriers for the different paths in the Monument Realm
is considered cutting the track. Thus, any speed-run that does this does not qualify for the Nocut or
Realistic speed-run formats.
Neon Pipeline Realm:
No applicable rulings for this racing realm.
Warning: There is a known issue of cars phasing through the sphere in the Neon Pipeline Realm. The
amount of phasing varies by car. But the faster you are driving when you enter the sphere the more
likely your car is to phase through the sphere. The slower you are driving when entering the sphere the
less likely your car is to phase through the sphere. Be aware of this issue when driving in the Neon
Pipeline Realm. This issue may be addressed by the Project Acceleracers development team in the
future.
Reactor Realm:
No applicable rulings for this racing realm.
Sky Realm:
No applicable rulings for this racing realm.
Solar Realm:
No applicable rulings for this racing realm.
Sound Realm:
No applicable rulings for this racing realm.
Storm Realm:
No applicable rulings for this racing realm.
Helpful Hint: Not all cars are capable of completing the jump in the Storm Realm. Most cars cannot
complete the jump. The jump requires going 400mph+ (640km/h+) of speed to land the jump. This
normally takes 400-500 Nitrox to do depending on the car. Without the use of Accelechargers, and
without the use of Teku jump jets taking the non-jump path is faster with good Nitrox management.
Swamp Realm:
Driving on the white edge on the orange racing track is allowed to go around any invisible barriers that
tree leaves or grass may create on the racing track sections in the Swamp Realm for Realistic and Nocut
speed-runs. These invisible barriers are not intentionally placed in the Swamp Realm unlike the invisible
barriers in the Monument Realm. The Project Acceleracers development team has said before the
invisible barriers in the Swamp Realm covering track sections is unintentional and that they plan on
removing those barriers in the future.
Water Realm
Vert Route: Go right at the first track split.
Taro Route: Go left at the first track split. At the second split take either path. Both paths are considered
to be part of the Taro Route.
Warped Realm:
No applicable rulings for this racing realm.
Wind Realm:
No applicable rulings for this racing realm.
The Ultimate Race:
Any and all racing realm specific rules for your speed-run format for a given racing realm also apply to
any Ultimate Race speed-run as well. You do not need to list routes taken on a Ultimate Race speed-run
in the video formatting and can take whatever routes are legal for your speed-running format.
Halloween 2021:
No applicable rulings for this racing realm.
