Aeross, the Aerospace Society of Delhi Public School, R.K Puram is

hosting, its second edition of the Annual Aviation and Aerospace


Convention: CelesteCon, an amalgamation of science and technology
based competitions for students of classes VI to XII, to celebrate and
foster innovation in these fields.

CelesteCon will be held on a virtual platform this year. The


Convention will take place over the course of two weeks, during which
a variety of sub-events will be organised, ranging from app-
development to space-settlement design. Short descriptions of each
event have been provided below for your ready reference.

1. Celesymposium 2.0
This educational event aims to create a fun learning experience for

participants of all ages. It will comprise of three workshops and one fun

event followed by doubt clearing sessions and interactive discussions.

Collaboration with various industry experts and STEM organizations

with a special emphasis on girls will be placed to boost participation

and representation in STEM.

The Duration of the event:

16th-17th Nov: Workshop 1, 2 hours per day

19th-20th Nov: Workshop 2, 2 hours per day

The mode of conducting the event : Completely Online (Meet on

Zoom, Stream on Youtube)

Eligibility to participate in the event: Grades 6th to 12th (though we

will recommend specific workshops for specific ages)

No. of participants per team from each school: Unlimited

2. Cosmoverse
The objective of the "Cosmoverse" event is to provide a competitive
platform for those interested in initiating and developing solutions in
space and technology, which is both unpredictable and demanding.

This competition will comprise of 2 categories:

a) Settle-Me-This

Participants will innovate and create the most competent, viable,


and creative permanent space settlement according to the
parameters that we supply.

b) Astech

Students will be challenged to solve real world problems using space


technology. The problem statements will be provided by us.

3. Dimension III
Dimension III, the 3D Designing event aims to bring out both the
creative and the technical thinking of an aerospace/aviation
enthusiast. Participants will be required to combine their skills of 3D

modeling with their research knowledge for this prompt-based

event to present a solution that is both technologically proficient, and


visually stunning.

4. Crossword
A race against time with a dash of humor' – the crossword event is an
interesting fun event that will allow participants to brainstorm their
way through a set of clues putting their prior knowledge about
aerospace and aviation terminology to the test. It will also require
participants to think creatively and use quick wit to solve the clues–

and they are sure to think beyond their limits.

5. Quizzitch
Quizzitch, the quiz event of CelesteCon challenges its participants with
intriguing questions related to aerospace, aviation and other allied
STEM fields. These challenging and tantalizing questions are designed
and curated to evaluate your knowledge about these fields and logical
reasoning as well as comprehension skills. Being a team event, this will
also test the synergy between the participants. The event would be
divided into a preliminary and final round and categorized into junior
(6th to 8th) and senior (9th to 12th) categories.

6. In Pursuit of Dispute
The debate is indeed one of the most vital aspects of students
fascinated with aerospace all over the country voicing their opinions
on diverse topics in the field of aerospace. From aviation to the future
of aerospace, a variety of topics have been culled in order to make
this an unforgettable experience for the coming youth of this industry.
Multiple rounds will be held in which the participants will debate and
present opposing views on varied topics. In doing so, they will not only
enrich their own understanding on the issues being discussed but also
hone their skills of framing coherent arguments.

18th Nov: Submission of videos (both juniors and seniors)

19th Nov: Judging submissions, result and topic for semi-finals of


juniors released

20th Nov: Result and topic for semi-finals of seniors released

7. Business Power Pitch


The contestants will be provided with an existing problem in the
aerospace/aviation industry and will be required to design a product
or service to resolve the issue, along with the go-to-market strategy
and business plan for the same.

8. SpaceHack
An application-design competition which makes the participants
combine aerospace technology and computer science ideas to create
products that not only demonstrate the best use of research, but also
create solutions to real-world problems.

9. Volatus
Volatus is back with its second annual edition, offering a one-of-a-
kind National-level Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Design Challenge
(UADC) to high school students across India. With a unique and
challenging prompt, the competition aims to bring out the best in
students. Open to students from grades 8th to 12th, everyone is
welcome to delve deep into the intricacies of the aviation industry as
they put on their thinking caps to prove their technological prowess,
and provide the best solution possible to the problem posed.

10. Surprise
With the element of mystery added by withholding information till the
last moment, this event is perfect for generating enthusiasm and
