This proposal covers the specific details of the KACEAHAN event. The CEA-SG plans to carry out
the yearly event of the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA), the objective of the said
affair is to promote student participation amidst the pandemic, and it will also be an opportunity for
the students to be accustomed with their fellow future Engineers and Architects. The proposed
budget amounts to PHP 12,250.00, which covers the platform (ZOOM), and the prizes for each
event. Moreover, this document also outlines the timeline and breakdown of costs.
Objectives:
This event aims to 1) promote solidarity among Engineering and Architecture students, this will test
their will power, and practice their acquired skills in Engineering and Architecture, 2) It will be the
time for the students to unwind from academic stress, and the additional pressure brought by this
pandemic.

In a span of 5 days the activities such as: E-games, Talent Night, Spoken Poetry, Top Model, Quiz
Bee, Essay Writing, Minecraft booth Challenge (Per Org.), Poster Making, chess, and Tik-Tok
challenges will be carried out.

 KACEAHAN ACTIVITIES
E – Games (ML)
Description: This tournament is open to all-male, female, or mixed teams as long as they are
enrolled in Negros Oriental State University College of Engineering and Architecture A.Y. 2021-
2022. Each organization needs to have at least 1 team to represent. Qualifying stages is a Double
Elimination format, top four (4) teams will advance to the Playoffs. Playoffs Stage will be Single
Round Robin, top two (2) teams will advance to the Finals. Finals will be best of 5 games.

Poster making
Description: The poster-making contest will be open for each organization under Negros Oriental
State University College of Engineering and Architecture, and they are required to have one
representative. The poster making contest will be announced by the start of the KACEAHAN and
needs to be submitted on or before Thursday (October 28) 5:00 PM.

 Tiktok Competition
Description: You need to be currently enrolled in Negros Oriental State University College of
Engineering and Architecture to be able to participate in this competition. The contestants need to
create a Tiktok video performing the NORSU HYMN in a creative way, either through singing or
dancing without altering the lyrics, the video should not be less than 30 seconds and does not exceed
1 minute.

CEA’s Next Top Model
Description: Each organization should have at least one (1) representative, one (1) male or one (1)
female, these students should showcase their fashion senses to spice up their department polo. They
should submit five (5) pictures, three (3) pictures exhibiting the back, front, side of the polo and two
(2) pictures portraying their future professions.

 Talents Night
Description: For this competition, each participant will be asked to pre-record their presentation that
should last for a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes, they will submit their videos
to the facilitator of the event. It will be a night of showcasing every talent (Dancing, Singing, Magic,
etc.) of the students in the College of Engineering and Architecture.

Essay Writing
Description: Each organization must have at least 1 representative that is currently enrolled in
Negros Oriental State University College of Engineering and Architecture. They must write an essay
that is in line to the topic which will be given on the day of the event. Judges will decide for the
winner.

Quiz Bee
Description: It will be a typical Quiz Bee questions and General Knowledge about Engineering and
Architecture. This activity will be by group, each group will consist of 4 members each from
different organizations. Each organization must have 4 representatives. There will be 3 rounds for the
quiz bee namely, Easy, Average, and Hard. The questions will be composed of both general
knowledge and engineering problems. The Platform for the quiz bee will be through Zoom.

Spoken Poetry
Description: This is an open competition for College of Engineering and Architecture students under
Negros Oriental State University that expresses their creative thoughts and every candidate has the
freedom of choosing the topic he/she is going to perform. Each entry should be recorded and must
follow the set guidelines provided by the facilitator.

Minecraft Booth Per Org
Description: Each Organization will create their booth in Minecraft in the server provided by the
CEA-SG, they will be given two weeks to make their booths. They will start making their booths on
October 11, 2021, and their booths should be accomplished on October 25, 2021, so that students can
visit the booths during the KACEAHAN event.

 Chess
Description: It is open tournament, in which any students that are currently enrolled in the College
of Engineering and Architecture for the first semester of A.Y 2021-2022 can participate. It will be
done online by having the participants download Chess app in their mobile phones and they will play
by utilizing the connectivity brought by internet.

Org Competition
Description:
Throughout the whole duration of the KaCEAhan event, the CEA Organizations can gain points by
winning or earning a spot in the top 3 of each activity. By the end of the week, we will be tallying the
points. The TOP 1 Organizations that gain the most points will be declared as winners and will
receive cash prize that will serve as funds for their organization.
