Convicted Republican child predators

1. Maryland US Representative Robert Bauman, a National Chairman of the YAF and the American Conservative Union
noted for his staunch opposition to gay rights, solicited sex from a 16-year-old boy.
2. Illinois Representative Dan Crane had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old page. He was censured along with
Gerry Studds, a Democrat, for the same offense.
3. Thurston County, Washington party chairman Paul Ingram raped his own daughters. His son also accused Ingram of
molesting him beginning from age 4.
4. Young Republicans President and Ohio Representative Buz Lukens had sex with a 16-year-old girl, with the
relationship beginning when she was 13.
5. Christian Coalition leader Beverly Russell molested his 16-year-old stepdaughter.
6. Hawaii County Councilor Keola Childs molested a male child.
7. Nicholas Morency, a New Jersey anti-abortion activist who created a website offering $1.5 million to the murderer of
an abortion provider, was convicted of possessing child pornography.
8. Colorado activist Randy Ankeney took pictures of and attempted to rape a 13-year-old girl.
9. Missouri lobbyist (who began his work following his conviction) and Bush presidential elector Parker Bena
downloaded child pornography to his computer.
10. Colorado State House Representative Larry Schwarz possessed over a dozen magazines depicting child pornography,
and allegedly molested his stepdaughter and her half-sister, the former beginning when she was 4.
11. Major donor and NRCC Republican of the Year Mark Grethen sexually assaulted two children.
12. Legislative staffer and executive director for an Los Angeles County business group Howard Brooks raped a 12-
year-old boy.
13. Puerto Rican Speaker of the House Edison Aldorando repeatedly molested his daughter, beginning when she was 9.
14. Waterbury, Connecticut Mayor and US Senate nominee Phillip Giordano had sexual contacts with a 10- and 8-year-
old girl.
15. Richard Delgaudio, the head of several Fairfax County, Virginia activist groups, took sexual photos of a 16-year-old
girl.
16. Long-serving South Carolina Senator Strom Thurmond statutorily raped a 15-year-old girl.
17. Pastor Stephen White, who was known on the Penn State campus for harassing students with virulently anti-gay
demonstrations, solicited oral sex from a 14-year-old boy.
18. Richland County, Ohio Commissioner David Swartz sexually assaulted two girls, one of whom was six when the
abuse began. He was arrested again when he attempted to re-contact one of his victims.
19. John Allen Burt, an associate of two men who each murdered abortion providers, molested a 15-year-old girl at a
home for troubled women and girls that he ran.
20. Lead City Councilor of Stonington, Connecticut Peter Dibble had sexual contact with a 10-year-old girl.
21. Robin Vanderwall, the manager of an earlier campaign for Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell, solicited sex from who
he believed to be three 13-year-old boys on the Internet.
22. Monroe County, Pennsylvania Judge Mark Pazuhanich molested his 10-year-old daughter.
23. Radio host Jon Matthews, popular in the Houston area, exposed his penis to an 11-year-old girl and, online,
described a fantasy involving sex acts performed on a 3-year-old boy.
24. Montana anti-abortion activist Richard Dasen Sr. statutorily raped a 15-year-old girl.
25. Iowa pastor Mike Hintz, who put his name behind an ad calling for the criminal prosecution of pornographers, had
sex with a 17-year-old girl in his ministry, whom he was counseling for emotional support.
26. Sparta, New Jersey Municipal Party Chairman Jeffrey Patti downloaded, and may have distributed, a video of a 5-
year-old girl being raped.
27. Wrightsville, Pennsylvania City Councilor Fred Smeltzer Jr. raped a 15-year-old girl.
28. Republican House Speaker Dennis Hastert molested four boys as a high school wrestling coach. He also allegedly
raped a 4th grade boy.
29. Oklahoma state senator and Trump campaign state chairman Ralph Shortey was convicted for the sex trafficking of a
17-year-old boy.
30. Campbell County judge and Trump campaign county chairman Tim Nolan sexually assaulted at least four minors.
31. Earl Kimmerling, an anti-gay activist who went to court to fight a gay father’s adoption, molested five children.
32. Anti-abortion activist and RNC digital strategist Ruben Verastigui participated in a child pornography ring where
videos exchanged included babies as victims.
33. Another member in the ring, Trump appointee for the Commerce Department Adam Hageman, was also convicted.
