Buddhism

is not about worshipping certain God or Goddesses; actually, it’s

all about obtaining inner peace and satisfaction. The main purpose of
Buddha was simply to show mankind how to avoid chaos and live in
harmony with all living creatures. Buddhism is a middle way practice,
equilibrium between self-denial and over-indulgence. Buddhism enables
people to look at life with a new perspective and stop blaming God, the
universe, and others for their plight. Humans are the creators of their own
worlds. Once we realize this great truth, life becomes a joyful journey.
Buddha introduced the Eight-Fold Path and the Ten Precepts, as well as the
Four Noble Truths.  Monks following the pathway must practice all the
precepts; the lay Buddhist (if he is to be called Buddhist) is expected to
follow the five main precepts.

Buddhist philosophy is based on the basic idea of cause and effect, the rule
of Karma. According to this law, every intention thought and action has its
equal result and consequence.  The philosophy is invested towards doing
good to others. From good deeds come good results.  Calm mind and
kindness is the true source for the tranquility of mind which no objects or
luxury can give.  Disciplined life leads down the path of spirituality in
human life  – self-realization, or what the Buddhists call Nirvana.

The Buddhist philosophy depends upon three jewels, four Noble truths, the
eightfold path and the five Percepts. The first three principles are pursued
by those who either adopt a monastic life or are involved in a deep
philosophical interpretation of Buddhism.

The eightfold path of Buddhism shows the way out of suffering: The

Buddha taught practical ways to end suffering through eight pursuits and
all those are based on self-control – right speech, right action, right
livelihood, right concentration, right view, right intention, right
mindfulness, and right effort.

Buddhist philosophy is really important for world peace.  The mantras and

philosophy are valid and useful in everyone’s life not only for Buddhist. The
spiritual knowledge one gets from the books or any sources available on the
internet will certainly enlighten them in many ways.  In today’s modern
world everyone is after success, happiness and luxury and when they don’t
get what they desire it destroys their mental peace. In such chaos and
hurdles, Buddhism is that discipline which creates inner peace and self-
realization among people.  If every member in a family is mentally
disturbed and unsatisfied with their life it’s sure that the members will get
into fights and create more family problems. But, this won’t happen in a
family where even one member is spiritually enlightened and aware. The
thought process of every individual makes a great difference. So, take the
world as the family and Buddhist philosophy as the member who is
mentally aware.

Buddha was born in Nepal. He is the light of Asia and founder Buddhism.
Lord Buddha after his enlightenment period he pervaded his knowledge to
many people. He constantly taught for forty-five years. Today Buddhism is
a practice all around the world about 535 million people follow this religion
and the number of followers is high in Asian countries. Buddhist
philosophy is realistic and logical, it has brought a positive impact on
people’s lives. Buddhist philosophy has a great role in maintaining world
peace and harmony.
