Buddhist philosophy is based on the basic idea of cause and effect, the rule
of Karma. According to this law, every intention thought and action has its
equal result and consequence. The philosophy is invested towards doing
good to others. From good deeds come good results. Calm mind and
kindness is the true source for the tranquility of mind which no objects or
luxury can give. Disciplined life leads down the path of spirituality in
human life – self-realization, or what the Buddhists call Nirvana.
The Buddhist philosophy depends upon three jewels, four Noble truths, the
eightfold path and the five Percepts. The first three principles are pursued
by those who either adopt a monastic life or are involved in a deep
philosophical interpretation of Buddhism.
Buddha was born in Nepal. He is the light of Asia and founder Buddhism.
Lord Buddha after his enlightenment period he pervaded his knowledge to
many people. He constantly taught for forty-five years. Today Buddhism is
a practice all around the world about 535 million people follow this religion
and the number of followers is high in Asian countries. Buddhist
philosophy is realistic and logical, it has brought a positive impact on
people’s lives. Buddhist philosophy has a great role in maintaining world
peace and harmony.
