Cuvee Lacustre
Chardonnay
Limoux, France

A lovely white Chardonnay from Limoux.

It's got a light, clean, delicate palate, very

like a Chablis (unsurprising as they use the

same grape!)

This wine comes from our freshest

Limouxins soils: the highest parts in altitude

of Haute-Vallée and Océanique. The

grapes harvested later develop a very

interesting acidity. This Chardonnay, which

stands out for its freshness and minerality,

comes from vines plunging its roots deep

into a limestone soil of lacustrine origin.

If you love Bordeaux and/or bourbon,

do yourself a favor and get some of this.

80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.

Delicious and unique. This one is aged

in older Pappy Van Winkle bourbon

barrels! There’s something magical

about the interaction of bourbon oak

and Bordeaux that somehow makes both

better. The texture is silkier, the flavors

deeper, the finish longer, the wine more

complex. The result is a wine that

waltzes between lightness and power.

The wine is a Castillon but it tastes like

Cru St. Emillion. Castillon soil and region

are contiguous and adjacent to St

Emillion.
