Poverty and public health have been huge issues the country is facing over the past decade,

even a
century. With years of study trying to solve these problems, we are still looking for solutions. Is our
government doing enough to solve these issues?

As per the World Bank Organization, “Poverty is hunger. Poverty is lack of shelter. Poverty is being sick
and not being able to see a doctor. Poverty is not having access to school and not knowing how to read.
Poverty is not having a job, is fear for the future, living one day at a time. Poverty has many faces,
changing from place to place and across time, and has been described in many ways. Most often,
poverty is a situation people want to escape. So poverty is a call to action -- for the poor and the wealthy
alike -- a call to change the world so that many more may have enough to eat, adequate shelter, access
to education and health, protection from violence, and a voice in what happens in their communities.”

As the above passage said, there are many faces of poverty. Thus, it needs ample time to solve the issue.
The government should look into every possible way to solve this. Strengthen the education system,
offer job, encourage investors to invest and many more. They need to take action in solving this or else
the people will starve themselves to death.

One effect of poverty is a lack of proper/good health. We all know that we need to eat healthy food for
us to be healthy. As a community, individual health plays a vital role to public health. If we lack the right
nutrients then we may become sick and if we become sick then we might pass this to different people.
Thus taking care of ourselves is very important.

It is easy to say that we need to take care of ourselves however this is a very hard thing to do. Now that
the inflation rate is very high, thus we cannot afford the right and basic human needs. Thus, money is
really essential in achieving a healthy community.

As we discuss this, it clearly show one of the main reason of public health problems, it is poverty! Thus,
people should take into consideration to fight for our right in telling the government to address this
issue.
