Recommendation Letter
If you have been asked to provide a letter of recommendation, you may be
wondering: What is it? What is the best way to do so? Who do I ask?
This kind of letter displays your excellent achievements such as experience, awards, and prior
education to prove you are qualified to assume that responsibility or that you deserve that opportunity.
It also helps certify that the applicant has the traits and capabilities needed.
Job applications, for example. You may be writing a recommendation letter for someone who is
applying for a job. If you have experience working with them or managing them, you can point out their
abilities, such as management, problem-solving, or collaboration skills.
Some letters of recommendation are written for very specific motives, such as rental applications. The
content should always stay relevant and specific to the motive of the application.

Recommendation Letter
For example, a senior in high school that is going to apply to college will be in need of an academic
recommendation letter. A teacher, coach, or someone who knows the student personally would be an
ideal candidate to write a recommendation letter.
If you need a business recommendation letter, then a former employer or coworker who is a great
person to ask. They have managed you or worked with you and know your qualities in the work place.
