2. 44.3 56.3 12 10 1.2 30˚C

3. 44.3 59.5 15.2 15 1.01 30˚C

Average 1.07 30˚C

Actual density of water at specified temp: 0.9957 g/mL @30˚C

Percent error: 106.45

Calculations
49.3 - 44.3 = 5 / 5 = 1
56.3 - 44.3 = 12 / 10 = 1.2
59.5 – 44.3 = 15.2 / 15 = 1.01
1 / + 1.2 + 1.01 = 3.21 x 3 = 1.07
0.9957−1.07
X 100 = 106.45
0.9957

Calculation
50.5 – 44.3 = 6.2 / 5 = 1.24
1.26−1.24
X 100 = 97.15
1.26

236.4 / 244,720 = 1,035.19

Discussion of Result
The 1st experiment in measurement of the water the
result of the average of the three trials is 1.07 where
the actual density is 0.9957. In the 2 nd experiment in Conclusion
measurement of liquid sample the mass of the liquid Therefore, In the 1st experiment where we measure the
sample is 6.2 g, the volume is 5 mL, the density is 1.24 water it shows that the average density we get from the
g/mL and the temperature is 30˚C. In the 3rd experiment three trials is higher than the actual density of the water
where we get the measurement of wood with the mass that cause the percent error to became higher than
of 236.4 g, the volume is 244,720, the density is 100%. In measurement of liquid sample we get almost
1,035.19 and the temperature of the wood is 30 ˚C. In the accurate amount of the actual density and
the 4th experiment in measurement of the unknown percentage error while for the solid sample we get the
liquid the result of the average of the three trials is 6.45 lower percentage error due to the low average that the
while the actual density of solid sample is 11.4 g/mL. table above shows.
For getting the mass of the liquid you have to subtract
the mass of an empty container and the mass of the
container with the liquid while for getting the density of
the liquid you have to divide the mass over the
volume .For getting the volume and the temperature
we use laboratory apparatus like graduated cylinder and
temperature.
