Setting: Castle and forest
Time: Mid-morning

The Queen of Nowhere is not pleased! She’s not pleased at all ,as
she was the only one in the entire universe… aware of the
Narrator mysterious power which Snow white was blessed with. A power
which would only frutify when she reaches the age of 21.

[hunter running across the stage from right to left, pants]

Ohh…what have I done

Where have I fathomed
Finding myself in the forest
Hunter Again lost…
Again running …
Into the woods I run
To save myself from the wickedness of the world and her queen

[flashback]
[In the castle, queen of nowhere, looks into the mirror]

WHO IS THE FAIREST IN THE LAND? !!! WHO IS THE

FAIREST OF ALL???........Well how does that even matter? I am not
a racist.
Wicked Queen PETRIFICUS TOTALUS!

( Extremely disgusted to witness the scene)

Witnessing the merry time of snow white and the dwarfs , the
wicked queen gets highly furious . She orders a murder and assigns a
Narrator huntsman to execute snow white’s death . The hunter out of pity for
the poor little snow-white spares her life and he falls for her.

Left Stage
( HUNTER ADMIRING SNOW WHITE)

Hunter From where does this beastly sound cometh?

 [Wilding chopping the wood. Finds a reptile in-between]
What a colourful custom each morning to wash blood off everything
Yesterday a bore today a dozen quails
To fetch water and warmth. Wears the body yet feeds the soul.
Crikey oh old god…a longtail circling an apple
Snow White From where in heaven you are fallen
Not on me, can you cast your sterile tricks
I’ve seen plenty of your kind as daughter eve’s

[Instantly takes a log and beats it. Takes the apple]
Better save it so as not to make the land more strange and wicked.

[Looks up at the clouds. Starts chopping]

Wicked Queen [ Take a pause…summons the soldier]
[GUARD ENTERS AND BOWS]

Off with you to the forest immediately Get hold of the futile guard
and snow white , I need the least breath to be wiped out by the
hunter before his corpse reaches the scent of castle’ farthest fringe.
bring that beguiling witch with senses for I am yet to realise her
mystic powers.
Soldiers Happens all that the queen wishes
Excuse me, my highness.

Scene 2
Setting: Snow White’s hut
Time: Next day morning

Snow whites is expecting her companionship with whom she met in

her exile in the enchanted forest. She prepares meals for the occasion
Narrator and again in the never-ending trial between herself, her axe and the
unchopped logs. While waiting for her guest, she hastingly prepares
a feast of Boar fired, quail broth, boiled peas and shoot ale

What’s the use of these for inherent mystic?

Never a pairs of eyes to behold
Here I am more content and composed
Snow White
No grief but just a sore on my left shoulders
Here I am neatly insulated of villainous ways
Of human space. [quietly contemplating]

[Enter Alice]

Alice What a pleasant sight

[ looking at the cooking pork suspended on forks tricks]

Narrator Snow and Alice hear indistinct conversation and are expectantly
waiting.
Red riding hood comes along. Her admirer Jacob the werewolf
follows her behind

Alice Who is this gentleman sniffing your back?

Jacob Hello mistress of curious tongue. I am Jacob, from a distant family

of Lycaon.

Red Riding Hood For the n-th time, I telling you again, I am not your ‘Bella’

Red Riding Hood [Clearly infuriated and gives up]

and drinking the ale when...

Narrator Dante leaves still perplexed. The rest of them continue to sit around.
GOT MUSIC runs for a while. Suddenly snow white and Jacob
sense the restlessness in the air. Birds fly around with distant calls
threatened for life. Apes and other animals hail their alarming
signals. Hunter stop-s panting.

Hunter Ohh…what have I done

Where have I fathomed
Finding myself in the forest
Again lost…
Again running …
Into the woods I run
To save myself from the wickedness of the world and her queen.

Alice Why do men always stir up women’s reverie?

Hunter Apologise but I need to convey something to the fair lady over there

Snow White Go on
[ obviously curious]
Hunter My lady, I am in, no, we are in mortal danger.
Your stepmother, the wicked queen ordered me to kill you
And bring your heart.

Snow White Not surprised!!! That pile of obnoxious junk.

But you haven’t completed you gravely mission

Hunter That decision of error I mean to take on any part of life

Never could I kill such a wiser manufacturing of prettier God

[Snow White tries to hide her blush. Hunter seen in visible pain]

Red Riding Hood Snow! Don’t go behind men’s beguiling words

They are accurate compass to misery

Jacob Now that hurts.

Snow White Pardon me everyone; I still need to finish one unfinished business
before I turn 21.
I want you people to leave.

Alice We would help you with whatever business it is.

Snow White I can fight my own battles

I am not the old meek maiden anymore
not anyone can ever be deserved to be fragile
especially in this wilderness.

Scene 3

Narrator Snow White seems to be sure of what she is doing. Huntsman travels
with her to the castle of nowhere and the queen is waiting for them
in the castle. She carries no weapon but just a small bag. On the way
to the castle...
Snow White So tell me sire, you hunt for life . what do you see in their eyes?
What do you see after your every kill?

Huntsman I do not ponder over it

I spare my senses of that misery. I became an animal.
Nevertheless I’ve never missed that dying amber.
That holds them on to the eternal slumber.

Now tell me, do you? What’s your secret power that the wicked
queen covets so much?

Snow White Secret power, My foot!!!!

Listen to this story u will understand

Narrator Stage division, castle on the right side. Forest on the left lit with spot
light, snow hasting towards her escape from the castle and into the
woods. Suddenly she shrieks and stumbles before an old inscrutable
short man and wonders whether the cause of his dwarfness is his
birth or his upcoming death. He protruded out in surprise.

Snow White Nah he’s just an old dwarf. I was surprised too looking at his big
long ears all the more
terrified of his deep eyes trying to say something wise to ruin my
innocence. Gosh that happened. He said to me I resemble someone
called “snowest white” because of whom the queen was enraged.

Practically the woman was selfless or had the inert power of visions.
She could foresee the future and was very wise. He told me that I am
that fair lady who's taken my second birth. [No sire certainly not].

Then he cautioned the queen would cast the same spell on me as she
had done previously which puts me to eternal sleep that can be
broken with a true love’s kiss. Sleep sounded delicious until u realise
the fact, anything eternal loses its significance in the law of mortals,
like Nature.

Huntsman What about the power then?

Snow White Fake it till you make it.

Huntsman [blushing] Ohh I am waiting for you to save…[tracing his lips with
fingers] will you accept my love?
Snow White Yes my dear Sire…only your true love…
[ To herself: ‘only your true love’s kiss, my sustenance’ ]
[turn to the side]
[They hold hands]

Wicked Queen ‘Lord, how foolish these mortals are’.

You fell straight into the pitch of the end

[stomps before. Soldiers get hold of this wildling and hunter by
their arms]
Now I do know where to strike the arrow. [to soldiers] get him
hanged
This False-hearted deserves the hook.

Snow White [acts innocent and starts crying]

Ohhh my love.

Wicked Queen I reckoned you are a fool from life…you are a fool from love too?
Hun

Snow White You appear so wise…perhaps you’ve learnt from all your ‘lives’
lessons’?!
But before I die may I know the root of your hate for me?

Wicked Queen The sight of you

The thought of something greater than my long-bored knowledge
How come the lords have mercy to surpass my hard work in earning
the truths about fortune
By giving the evil hag the visions of life?

Snow White But I do not have that power and I am not who you think I am

Wicked Queen You would be what I think you to be…dead!

Hasten up right now!!!
[to the guards]

Snow White You are truly wicked.

Wicked Queen Had I been a man, they would have called me ambitious just like the
soul Mephistopheles carried. The only thing humans don’t hate
which they don’t understand is God… the rest is wicked for them.
Impertinent sloths. Hasten them up.
 [ snow white tries to run off…queen instantly cast a spell on her,
snow white falls to the ground]

Huntsman Ohh dear…my fairest…

[he let her on the lap]

[ hunter tries to wake her up by kissing her… he becomes
perplexed that snow white is not waking up…kisses her again
and again]

Why is it not working…hasn’t my love been pure enough?

Wicked Queen [hysterical laugh]…Hahahaha I changed the spell you dumbwits.

No one can wake her up now.

Huntsman What is there in a body without a soul? There I come with you…
[huntsman stabs himself; he collapses on snow white; she
suddenly falls to the floor from his lap. The apple falls out from
her small bag]

Wicked Queen What a beauty….hmmmm hmmm what a delicacy

the fruit of wisdom.

Mephistopheles Hereeee I come!

Wicked Queen [threatened]

Who the devil is this!

Mephistopheles Indeed your devil

[ he takes her to purgatory…all the smells of queen
reversed…snow white wakes up]

Snow White Ohh lord how foolish we mortals are!!!

Anti - Climax : Snow White returning to forest

Robert Frost ….The woods are lovely, dark, and deep

But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep.
