PROJECT GUIDE

TOPICS
ALGEBRA (60 Questions)
I. Age Problems
II. Work Problems
III. Mixture Problems
IV. Digit Problems
V. Motion Problems
VI. Clock Problems
VII. Variation Problems
VIII. Coin Problems
IX. Diophantine Equation Problems
X. Distance Problems
TRIGONOMETRY (40 Questions)
I. Plane Trigonometry
II. Spherical Trigonometry

GUIDELINES
• Write a total of 100 worded problems; 60 for Algebra and 40 for Trigonometry. The above
list is a guide for the topics you can include in your work, and make sure to include all of them.
If you want to add worded problems with topics not included in the list above, you may do
so, but make sure they fall under Algebra and Trigonometry.

• Problems that are not worded (direct equations) and problems that are objective type
(definitions, no calculations, and identifications) are not allowed. Include only worded
problems.

• Use short bond paper. You can use any pen color for your creative design additions, but only
use black ink for the questions and solutions.

• You can be creative with your work, add design elements, or use any writing pens, just make
sure to complete the required number of problems (with answer and solutions) and to use
black ink color for the questions, solutions, and answers.
• All questions, solutions, and answers must be handwritten. You can add graphical
representations/solutions. Make sure to highlight/specify the final answer.

• Write only at the front page of the bond paper. Do not write at the back of the page.

• First page must be formatted as the example format on page 3. This must be printed.

• Second page must be formatted like the example format on page 4.

• Include divider pages (a divider page is a page that separates sections – in this case, the
sections of Algebra and Trigonometry). This may be a plain page with the word “ALGEBRA”
or “TRIGONOMETRY” printed/written on it, or to your desire, as long as it signifies the section
division.

• You may add additional contents (acknowledgement, table of contents, guides, index, etc.).

• The final output must be soft-bound, with white cover. The cover must have print bearing the
same contents as the first page.

• The project must be submitted before the semester ends, January 2023. Make sure to submit
promptly.
