Part- A

A. Planning Approach: Considering current business status, future business change,

available solution and change requirements I would say Predictive Planning Approach
is suitable in the given case.
According to BABOK (V3), in predictive planning approach solution is determined ahead
of implementing a change (p. 26). In other words, predictive planning approach is a good
fit for a change with predetermined solution for that change.
Justifications:
In the given case, the following justifications played the key role to go with the predictive
planning approach:
1. The solution for the change in Peak Tour Coaches Inc. is determined (eReserve Pro)
before going for final implementation. The new solution will allow the customers to
check the tour packages and their available dates and the customers will be able to book
on their preferred date. Also, the customers will be notified automatically via email
about their upcoming bookings.
2. In the given case, the stakeholders in the change process are very limited and Lilith
Underwood is the sole decision maker in the whole change process. Moreover, other
stakeholders like the potential customers and service providers participation are
extremely challenging.
3. Furthermore, this planning approach will ensure Lilith Underwood to maximize the
control over her business and reduce the associated error with the existing booking
system.
After careful consideration of the above circumstances, I believe the predictive planning
approach would be great fit for this change process.

B. Formality of Documentation: From my point of view, Formal information capturing is

relevant in the given case. This project will be implemented in a sole proprietorship
business where Lilith is the only owner and she takes all decisions for her business. Formal
documentation benefits this type business. Moreover, in the given case all steps of
implementation will be documented step by step which will make execution process easier
and less time consuming.
C. BA Deliverables:
• Current Business Status: currently, the business is being operated with the help of
the spreadsheet for reservations and bookings. With the growing demand the job is
being difficult to manage efficiently and the owner of the business has decided to adopt
an online reservation tool to make the booking customizable by the potential
customers.
• Future solution: the business is planning to adopt an online software solution to
include into the website so that customer can see the available dates and time for the
upcoming tours and packages and book their own tour. The new system will enable
the company to send email notification to the customers about their upcoming tours.
• Change Strategy: Mostly, the interview technique will be applied to implement the
change within the organization. Pragmatic Solution will contact Lilith to display its’
work plan on October 28th which is the starting point of the project.
Adoption of eReserve Pro: Adoption on October 31st
Customer Profile Requirements: Data related to existing customers will be loaded into
eReserve Pro system and will take 1-2 weeks. Administrative assistant will be
interviewed during the process as needed.
Tours set up requirements: Data regarding bus tours will be integrated into the new
system with the help of eReserve systems and Tour guides will be interviewed as
needed. This process will take 2-3 weeks. Lilith will also be informed about this and
the outcome will be documented.
Final Implementation: once the configuration is done, the whole system will be
delivered to The Peak Tour Coaches webmaster and they will update the website by
December 2nd.
D. Assumptions:
• it is assumed that no further change will be made. That means the business
will keep using the eReserve pro in the future also for customer bookings.

Part- B
Elicitation for Activity-1 (Considering the Data captured):
Scope: The scope is limited within the tour guides of the Peak Tour Coaches. Information related
to the tour packages will be gathered e.g., date, time and basic customers profiles information.

Objective: the objective is to integrate the information of the camping packages into the eReserve
Pro software solution to make the booking easy for the customers.

Location: company conference room between 2pm to 5 pm on Monday.

Participants and Role: Theo Walsh, Earl and Kendra and they are tour guide for the Peak tour
coaches inc.

Technique: In person interview will be conducted the elicitation activity. This technique gives
concrete base for gaining information to make the proposed change. Usually, the interview has
some structured questions on the proposed change and the participants give their onion on that.

Logistics: The participants will be provided with the Written mode of interview questions and
their answers will be written as well. As we are considering the predictive business analysis
approach in this case Everything should be formal and step by step consistent.

Supporting Documents: current system and its’ drawbacks to proceed with the proposed one.

Desired Outcome: The interviewer will be able to have the notes, feedbacks from the participants.
Showing the demo to the participants on how the new system will work and they will be benefitted
through the system

Elicitation for Activity-2 (Establishing Process for Staff):

Scope: The system will work directly with the customers regarding their bookings with the new
system. An image will be drawn showing the reservation step by step and the company staff will
follow those steps in order to book for a customer.

Objective: Developing an efficient process modelling to make the booking system easy for the
customers who call in for the reservation.

Location: company office, any time between the operation hours on a week day.

Participants and Role: Lilith Underwood, Owner of the business and Prisha Patil, administrative
assistant for the company.
Technique: Focus group elicitation will be applied in this case. As the number of persons is limited
and they need to how the new system works, A pictorial representation will be drawn on how to
work with the booking on the new system. This technique provides the chance to work with a small
group of people and give the best result. The participants will also be able to provide their
feedbacks on the new system.

Logistics: The participants will be provided with a hard copy of the pictorial presentation. The
whole process also requires big screen to give a demo on the new system.

Supporting Documents: some customers feedbacks forms collected through the survey.

Desired Outcome: The interviewer will be able to work with the new system. Also, there will be a
room for help in case any customers have any issue with their bookings.
Part- C
1. Requirement ID: 001
2. Requirement: The peak tour coaches currently uses a manual system to book for its’
customers reservations and want to move on with a new online reservation tool that will
enable the customers to book from their end.
3. Sources:
• eReserve Pro
• Pragmatic solution
• The peak tour coaches’ webmasters
4. Priority:
• eReserve pro software solution
• Existing customer profile data and tours schedule
• Transition
• Testing with a customer over the phone
• Final Execution
5. Complexity: Easy and should take up to 5 weeks
6. Traceability: All customers profiles and tours information have been successfully
integrated so that whenever a customer tries to look into the system, he or she can see the
related information about the search.
7. Status: The new systems’ requirements are ready for approval and once approved further
implementation will executed.
