STEAM - FEST PROJECT PROPOSAL TITLE: LIFE CYCLE OF AN APPLE
CLASS: PRE-NURSERY BARNEY
TERM: SUMMER 2021/2022 Session

 How many kinds of apples do we have?


 How many seeds are in an apple?
 Why do we eat apples?

Purpose: To find the the reason why the antioxidants in apples can slow the growth of cancer
cells. And how it protects the cells in your pancreas, which can lower your chances of diabetes.

SUMMARY: We aim to broaden the pupils minds on the importance of eating apples.

Why conduct the experiment?

For the pupils to learn about the life cycle of the apple tree as well as sequencing the growth
processes.

(Research Problem)

Pupils may find it hard learning to sequence the growth of the apple tree but it’s a fun way to introduce the
concept of both the science of how an apple tree grows and also math sequencing at the same time.

Hypothesis: I believe that the pupils will be able to follow along with the apple seed as it grows
from a seed, to a sprout, to a blossoming tree, to a leafy tree, to fully grown apples, and finally to picked
apples ready to eat or plant again.

Method:

 Cut a carton in a circular shape,


 Cover it with sugar paper
 Paste the apple seed on the carton
 Place the sequential apple sprout on the carton

TITLE: MAKING WATER DISPENSER
CLASS: PRE-NURSERY BARNEY
TERM: SUMMER 2021/2022 Session
 How do we make water dispenser?
 How does a water dispenser matching works?
 Why do we need water dispenser?

Purpose: To find the reason why water dispenser is important to human being.

SUMMARY: We aim to broaden the pupils minds on the importance of water around
us.

Why conduct the experiment?

For the pupils to learn about the importance of water.

(Research Problem)

Pupils may find it hard learning the construction of the dispenser, but it’s a fun way to introduce the
concept of both the science of the machine is being constructed.

Hypothesis: I believe that the pupils will be able to follow along with the construction of water
dispenser.

Method:

 Cut a carton in a rectangular shape,


 Cover it with sugar paper
 Join the rectangular shape together
 Join the transparent water bottle to the rectangular shape and
connect the straw to the transparent bottle.
