What is the Purpose of the Activity (in your own words why are you doing this activity?): Students will prepare and cook apples to make applesauce. Procedure: (the steps you would take in implementing the activity)
1. introduce materials: crock pot, apples, apple peeler/corer, water, cinnamon
2. cover table with plastic 3. wash and prepare apples 4. combine ingredients in crock pot 5. eat finish product Evaluation: (how will you know the children achieved the purpose?) Students will actively participate in activity. Extensions: How would you make this activity more of a challenge for advanced students? Encourage students to write out recipe cards before making the applesauce. How would you make this activity appropriate for less advanced students?
Place apples on peeler/corer and guide them in turning the handle to prepare the apple.
