SETTING UP OF BORDER MANAGEMENT RESEARCH INSTITUTE

2676. SHRI DILEEP SINGH BHURIA:

Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government proposes to set up a Border

Management Research Institute;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with its aims and objectives;

(c) whether any location is under consideration of the Government

for setting up of this institute;

(d) if so, the details thereof; and

(e) the time by which the institute is likely to start its research
operations?

(a) to (e): The proposal received from Border Security Force (BSF)
to setup a Border Management Research Institute is presently in the
conceptual stage.
