Not me alone
The gazal not me alone written by sheikh ayaz, ayaz was revolutionary
poet and also when this ayaz write this there was the time of revolution in
revolution people sacrifice their life like as the people of the Sindh sacrifice their
live for their motherland and this gazal poet describing the current situation of
the Sindh and where ayaz wrote their gazal when he was in lockup he realized in
this current time people are doing same thing which was done in the time of
revelation

Stanza 1

They have died without their death, thousands of men not me alone
In this world, o my country, thousand have turned silly not me alone
All the night long eyes did not close and dew fell drop by drop
If the morning g cups its hand, then o person,
There will be thousand not me alone.

Critical appreciation

In this stanza poet is telling about people that they are dying before the
real time of their natural death and still some people have courage they are
scarifying their life for the sack of motherland , again poet describing people that
many people die before the real death but left people they are externally alive
but internally they are died because they cant do anything like hollow men and it
all because of you nation if nation progress through their peoples the cluster of
people dying before real age will be stopped

Stanza 2
Why does the moon fill the world with poison
When will it be the last hour of night ,
Thousand wonder not me alone

In these lines poet talk about moon like as the moon going to set and they
are worrying about next day that what can be happened tomorrow , they all in
wondering that how would be tomorrow and they can’t sleep because of
afraidness this afraidness is not letting them sleep and they’re wandering all
around but their overthinking of the day after today is much greater

Stanza 3
If you say so, I’ll neither tremble nor cry but let me ask you:
Now many will you silence proclamations are thousand , not me alone
The period too, ayaz, will pass and our luck will turn
This fire will rage will all the more ,
Possibilities are thousand not me alone

You want people do some kind of protest , anything other against you do force
and implement your power against them and control them poet ask question that
how you implement your power and put how many people in lockup. keep them
in silent and role against them as they are in thousand . this period should pass
and many people will come against you and our luck will turn and their will be
many possibilities they are in thousand in ending poet describing his felling like as
iam with them I’m not alone

The gazal o human o human written by sheikh ayaz this gazal poet symbolize
people that your fighting each other for the benefit of other think about it and
find real enemy that is playing the game of go find and diminish him who want to
destroy you ,if u find them ur life will became more easy and it will help u to get
rid of insecurities

Critical appreciation
In stanza one poet symbolize the people of Sindh at that time they are
externally strong and fighting but internally soft lovable and poet want to say that
you all are human why you all are fighting with each other ,u people love each
other and you’re fighting with each other which isn’t good

O Beast! O Beast!
What’s Your Enmity To Him?
His Country Is Like Yours
He Is Human Like You Are.

Critical appreciation
In these lines poet tell that the non human character is not like a beast that why
you are fighting with human and he like human and both live in same country you
live freely and live than why you are fighting for anything beside you have to fight
with enemies not with our selves ,human character is not of fighting with each
other

Whom You’re Killing
Why You Don’t Understand
Who Is The Foe Of Us
Why Don’t We Finish It ?

Critical appreciation

In 3rd stanza poet tells that o fools whom you are killing them that is not your
enemy you have to find your real enemy that is creating all the situation find
them who want to destroy you from your fellows by playing the game of mind
find it and destroy to diminish it and not to fight with those who are in favour to
you
