Automatic Cleaning – CareControl®
Cleaning the SelfCookingCenter®
KFC General Cleaning Instruction

 Use automated Cleaning minimum once every day


 Only Use genuine RATIONAL Cleaning material
 Use only the amount of detergent as indicated on the display
 Do not interrupt the cleaning cycle
 Always use protective gloves when handling with Detergents
 Cool-down unit before loading the cleaner tablets
(indicated automatically if required)
 Clean the SelfCookingCenter® outside regularly

 In case of power failure, Cleaning program will continue from last point
onwards and finish correctly after power is back.
 If cleaning cycle is interrupted/aborted before end remove
all cleaning material and follow safety instructions as indicated on screen

All RATIONAL SelfCookingCenter® use two types of solid Cleaning detergents

Cleaner Tablets (RED) Care Tablets (BLUE)


- Cleans the cabinet - Descaling of cabinet & boiler
- Good against fat/ Grease & Dirt - Good against limescale

Cleaning instructions

Always use soft brush/cloth and mild detergents to clean any coated accessories
(e.g. RATIONAL TriLax)

Do not use hard /scratching objects to clean acessories

1st Level troubleshooting – general Solutions
Fault Indication Solution
Unit does not turn on Turn on Fuse or main switch

“Water Tab” Symbol displayed Check/turn on water supply

Noise in cooking cabinet while cooking Fix air baffle/grid shelves accordingly

Cooking result not satisfactory Repeat cooking – validate with same parameters
Check if correct program/process was chosen
Check if correct script/SW version in on the unit
“Gas Reset” Indication on screen Check/turn on gas supply

Water leak below door after Cleaning Check door gasket – if broken change
Check door tightness – adjust door if required
“Wind sound” on the outside while cooking Check door gasket – if broken change
Check door tightness – adjust door if required
Water remains in cabinet after cleaning Check drain / Drain connection whether blocked

Very strong foaming while cleaning (e.g. due to Reduce amount of cleaner tablets for cleaning
very soft water)

3- Unit type used, Serial number , Software/Script version installed
4- HACCP Data and Photos (for cooking related issues)
5- Contact person/Contact details
6- Actions done so far to solve issue
7- Information whether single case or repeatable
