1.2 TEAM WORK

I am an approachable person who believes in combined and

coordinated efforts and appreciate contributions from fellow
employees. I treat others with the respect that they deserve,
regardless of age and position, while giving due consideration to
their pressures of work. Being the link between Executive
Management and the Board, I try to keep up the spirit of those I
supervise and insist on datelines to those I relate to by praising the
former of their achievements, encouraging them when there are
setbacks, informing them of any changes that affect their work and
by sharing collective responsibility when things go wrong and taking
mistakes as a learning experience

1.3 DELIVERING AND IMPROVING

I do believe in the working philosophy of Managing by Objectives

(MBO). This necessitates delivery of work with minimum
supervision and working towards accomplishment of objectives
within the agreed time frame and parameters. As much as possible
I structure my work according to priorities, seldom allowing back
logs to build up. Much as I encourage my initiative, I recognize
when to involve others with experience and/or authority. I take
responsibility for the quality of my work and acknowledge my errors
while learning from the mistakes made. Above all I strive to exceed
expected standards.

1.4 ANALYTICAL THINKING AND JUDGMENT

My current job requires good analytical thinking and judgment

analyzing and interpreting information accurately both for every day
problems and where appropriate to more strategic issues. I take
decisions based on sound judgment while recognizing the
limitations of data and methods and taking into consideration the
professional expectations of the Board and guidelines while
knowing when to refer upwards. In adopting to radical, logical and
rational approach, I am made to boldly make unpopular, or
controversial decisions where necessary. In the long run though, I
consider the short and long term implications of the decisions,
taking into account the sensitivities and risks of misinterpretations.

1.5 MANAGING KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION

Being an Administrator/ Company Secretary who has to work within

the confines of laid down procedures, rules and guidelines, I uphold
the company policies and all procedures, recognizing the need for
transparent communications and knowledge sharing in the interest
of effective team working while ensuring appropriate security in
information handling. At all times, I make an effort to identify and
meet the information and learning needs when planning my work
and that of the team. Usually I maintain and feed the information
through networks both within and outside the organization.

1.6 ORGANISATION AND FINANCIAL AWARENESS

I understand the aims and objectives of the administration and

Company Secretarial elements of the organization and have the
capability to execute the tasks of the job. Similarly, I understand
the aims and objectives of my own sphere of work and understand
how to contribute to the overall objectives of the organization. I am
aware of the importance of financial control and encourage the
same attitude in others. I comply with applicable laws and
regulations and ensure that financial procedures are followed. In
my sphere of work I ensure that I operate within the limits of my
delegated authority, and that the budgets for which I am
responsible are properly managed. In our endeavours, I lean
towards the most economical and efficient use of resources.
