Interview with
Dr. Kevin George (A Famous Psychiatrist)
By (Your Name)
XYZ School, 5 march 20xx

I had an interview with a renowned psychiatrist named Dr. Kevin George. He is

done Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery
(MBBS/MBChB) Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.). He is achieved Roy award in the field
of Medical. He is a very good and one of the famous Psychiatrist. In the field of Psychiatry his
personal interest is of neuroscience and psychopharmacology.

I chose to interview Dr. Kevin George because I was very interested to know about the
thought process behind the psychiatry and all the things related to it. I was very curious to
know what kind of thoughts run through the minds of his patients and how he pacify his
patients.
I had several specific goals in mind when I approached this interview. First of all, I
wanted to know about the processes that used to reading someone’s mind. I always wanted to
know about the insights which is used by the psychiatrist to calm the patients.
At first, I was concerned that he might be too busy with his work to have time for my
interview. But luckily, this was not the case. He answered my questions very patiently. My
impression from this interview was very positive. Not only did he answer my questions in a
good manner, but his answers were also intuitive, and profound .
He told us that Psychiatry is a very challenging and yet very rewarding medical
profession. Challenging is because most of time you are not handling a concrete disease entity
like in IM. You deal with emotions, moods and abstract thoughts. Rewarding is because I love
to listen to personal stories and become my patients' real friends, and eventually helps them to
deal with their psychiatric illness. He also told us that in this time of social issues the suicides,
homicides etc. are the matter of concern but psychiatry is the one of that pressure valves of
the society. With their successful practice, psychiatrists can prevent suicides, homicides and
increase an individual's productivity in the society. He told us about that You can't force
psychiatric patients to take their medication without their consent or their legal guardian's
consent. If the patients are declared incompetent and have no guardian, then you need a court
order. In the contrast of our English chapter, he told us about the concept of Escapism.
Escapism is the tendency to escape from the real world to the safety and comfort of a
fantasy world. He is given us some ways to face reality and cope up with escapism like Take up
meditation, Observed your thoughts, Question yourself, Accept yourself, Stop pretending its ok,
Practice gratitude, Ditch the social world, Seek for the medical help.
Overall, I think the interview was very successful. I learned how a psychiatrist play a
significant role in the life of his patient. He said that all three Psychiatrist, social workers &
Psychologist should work as a tightly knit team and provide as best as possible service to the
mentally ill patients and make them feel good. I was very happy to meet him and at the same
time I learned a lot from him about Psychiatry.
