CIRCULAR – HALF YEARLY EXAMINATION 2020

Dear Parents
Your faith in us has only strengthened our bond with you and culminated in the remarkable feat
of our students. We, at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park always strive for excellence of our
students in whichever task they embark on. You have always been a pillar of strength for us,
standing by our decisions, supporting us in all our endeavours. It is the belief you repose in us,
that gives us fortitude to explore the unexplored genres and the year 2020 has been an example
of it.
Amidst the trying times, we have worked for the betterment of our students by adapting
ourselves to the new normal, heralding the age of digital learning and disseminating knowledge
through virtual classes. Despite the umpteen hurdles, we have successfully waded through the
troubled waters and finally given our students a conducive learning platform by making them
engage in both curricular and co-curricular activities. We have already conducted two
assessments smoothly, in the past, and now we are on the brink of another assessment - the Half
Yearly/ Term-I Examination.
We expect full support from your end so that we can get success in this endeavour too. We
request you to provide propitious ambience at home, as it is now the new examination centre.
Kindly see that your ward does not engage in any unfair means. Let us maintain the sanctity of
the exam. Help your ward BEFORE the exam and NOT DURING the exam. Let your ward
take the exam with an aim to self-assess himself/herself. Remember, examinations are a
yardstick to improvise and get better at what our children do. Lastly, we request you to stay by
their side and nurture them emotionally, especially in this unprecedented phase.
Please make your ward go through the following instructions with respect to Half yearly/ Term-I
Examination:
1. At 8:00 am, your ward must login to a zoom Id shared by the invigilator in the class
group and keep his/her video on. Simultaneously, he/she must login to his/her
MOODLE ID at 8:00 am using another tab on the same device.
2. Absence from zoom meeting room/presence of your ward without his/her video turned
‘on’ throughout the duration of the exam will be considered as absent for the exam.
3. Therefore, you must ensure good quality internet connectivity and peaceful
environment for your ward to take the exams.
4. Your ward is expected to uphold high level of integrity and ethics and prepare in all
seriousness for the exam.
5. The examination will be conducted online on MOODLE.
6. The Question paper will comprise of two sections, namely:
a) Term-1 Section A: Objective Section (to be attempted on the Quiz module only)
b) Term-1 Section B: Subjective Section (to be attempted in the test notebook and then
uploaded as PDF)
7. Total time to attempt both sections will be 65 minutes, i.e., from 8:15 am – 9:20 am.
Both sections will be available on the E-course - under ‘Periodic Test’ /TERM-1
(Subject) till specified time only.
8. Time for uploading the answers of subjective section will be from 9:20 am – 10:00 am

10. Your ward is are supposed to attempt each question as it appears on your screen.
Navigation will be restricted and your ward cannot go back to the previous question
once he/she has moved to the next question.
11. A practice test of 10-15 marks will be conducted for classes VI to XII in the following
subjects to help students orient themselves with the exam pattern. The practice test will
comprise of Section A and B as in the term 1 paper with the similar type of
objective/subjective questions.

Time for attempting practice test: 11:20 am – 11:35 am
Uploading time: 11:35 am - 11:55 am
