    Dear Ms. Reader,

    My name is Roberto Downing and I work implementing permanent agricultural


    systems in Panama. I carry 5 years of field work experience developing
    agroforestry, silvopastoral, agroecological, and permacultural systems of food
    production. From the small family-community subsistence agriculture to the
    large semi-industrial farms, managing squads of workers and volunteers from
    diverse backgrounds on a daily basis.

    It is my belief that through the development of integrated farms and small


    scale business development much of the poverty and suffering of this world can
    be alleviated. For me, this job opportunity permits me to have a bigger area
    of influence on issues that are central to my life and research. I sincerely
    feel that this opportunity is a one in a lifetime and I am honored to be
    considered for this role.
