SSG ELECTION 2022 NARRATIVE REPORT

Its election time, the time where the student body will choose and support the next
leaders of the school. S___________________l is a public school in _____________. It aims to
develop students into well-equipped leaders who can take their place responsibly in service of
the community. Supreme Student Government is a school organization whose purpose is to
train the students to become better citizens in the future and to develop students’ skills and
abilities in achieving quality education and academic excellence through cooperative works
among themselves in achieving their goals.

Last February 26 – 28,__________, the activities for the SSG Election took place. A total
number of 216 students from ______________________School participated on the said event.
There were two (2) participating parties (One Way and Perfect) and each had 1fifteen (15)
officers aiming to be in the position they desired. The screening for the Presidential and Vice-
Presidential Candidates was held las____________at Grade___ – Service room. The screening
involved interrogation of the selected students from Grade ___and____. Its mission is to test
the determination and will of the candidates’ in pursuing their goal of becoming a student
leader of ____________________School.

After the screening, the filing of the Certificates of Candidacy (COC) took place on
February 27, 2018 (7:00am – 1:00pm). The candidates filed their COC according to their
respective party. During the last hour of the filing of COCs, the SSG Adviser, _____________,
called for a meeting. In this meeting the responsibility, requirements, activities and
consequences of being a SSG Officer were discussed. After meeting, the official list of
candidates for SSG Election of Officers A.Y. ____________ was publicly announced to the
students. They were introduced to the students with brief information. The Campaign Period
started at ________. The candidates were given only limited time to have their campaign. Each
party independently planned their campaign strategies and went room-to-room to introduce
their selves and persuade the students to support and vote them.

A Campus-wide Presidential and Vice-Presidential Debate or “Meeting de Avance” was


held on ________________ at _____________Building. The first party was One Way, where
they showed their powerful and sometimes funny dance movements to entice the crowd. The
second party which is the Perfect was also upbeat when the crowd started to heat up; they also
showed their talents in singing and dancing. Both parties’ received questions from the selected
students where they answered admirably to persuade the students to vote for them.

After their brief introductions, the presidents and vice-presidents of each party were
given a chance to present their platform of government which states goal, reason/s why they
should win and some of their future projects. Then the students were allowed to ask questions
to the candidates for president and vice-president. Right after the day of the Meeting de
Avance, the synchronize election took place. The voting process started at 1:00pm until
2:00pm, the ballots were placed according to their year level. And for a smooth flow election, a
line of two was made in order and COMELEC Officials assisted the students. The election took
about an hour to finish. After class hour, the counting of votes started. The COMELEC officials
together with some SSG Officers were the ones who count the votes of the students. After
about an hour, the counting of votes was done and the result was out. At exactly 4:30pm, the
result was then posted and winners were proclaimed.
So far SSG election was successfully conducted where students are given the chance to
participate and exercise their right of suffrage during the election.
