PERSONAL STATEMENT
It will be my pleasure to pursue an MBA (Master of Business Administration) with
Advanced Practice in the Missouri University of Science and Technology. The
United States has undoubtedly proven to be the best place in the world for any
academic pursuit, this is in the history, and Missouri University of Science and
Technology had consistently maintained a record of excellence in all rankings both
within and outside the United States hence my choice. Academically, this program
will enhance my professional accomplishment, and career-Wise, it will enable me
to develop practical and relevant skills in leadership, operations management,
strategy development and finance. Studying this course will further enhance my
capabilities in applying business theories in the work environment and analyze
business issues globally which will lead to my career progression in the
management field.
I studied Sociology and Anthropology at Ebonyi State University Abakaliki,
Ebonyi State in Nigeria, one of the developing countries of the world. My
undergraduate project topic was on “The impact of Nigerian Change Policy on
Youths in Nigeria” (EYES). Moreover, the desire to better myself for a future
career in Human resource and Business Administration propelled my interest for
this program. I have, over the years, developed an unquenchable passion for
practicing my profession with a view to contributing my own quota to the
betterment of business and economies of the world at large. This is why I am
considering an MBA (Master of Business Administration) in Missouri University
of Science and Technology in the United States. The United States, with its rich
academic resources, will prepare me for the future challenges of proffering
professional solutions to the numerous Administration needs of the business and
economic communities of the world, especially the developing economies like my
country. My childhood dream of becoming an Administrator, floating a Business
consulting firm and establishing myself as one of the best hands in the economic
and business resource world in the nearest future and to team up with other
professionals in contributing to the growth of the business, political, and financial
sector of the world economy will definitely be actualized if this opportunity to
study Business Administration, in the United States University will be given to me.

Subsequent to my undergraduate study in Sociology and Anthropology where I

graduated with a second-class lower division, I have applied my learning at
different job roles as an office coordinator and currently as a Human resource
manager role in my home country in a large energy company. As we are in an
ever-changing world due to globalization and technological advancement, one
cannot remain the same but aim at achieving higher positions. For this reason, I
want to pursue an MBA qualification which will enhance my career at a leadership
level. This achievement will enable me to stand out in a competitive business
world due to the managerial/leadership skills and all-round business knowledge
that I will obtain which will aid me in handling real-time business challenges.

I have been working with the A.I.G Synergy in Nigeria, specifically under the
supervision of the Director General Abuja, Federal Capital Territory. My Job
schedule therein has given me a great insight into my desired postgraduate course
of choice because, within the course of my work, we have recorded numerous
cases where company staff had conveniently diverted the company funds and
materials into their personal pockets owing to lapses in the system. My team was
able to develop a technologically based control system, which eventually
strengthened the internal control and consequently resulting in 50% increase in
cash generation, surveillance, speedy service delivery to the clients, and 100%
remittance of cash due to the company. We achieved this by engaging the services
of Interswitch limited a leading technology-driven company whose focus is on
digitization of payments and security in Nigeria and other countries in Africa.
A master's in business administration, Finance will undoubtedly help me in my
career and professional development and growth. It will definitely prepare me to
build strong professional and employable skills that are indispensable for a
fulfilling career in this challenging generation. Business Administration is a course
that cuts across a various range of professional careers. There is an ever-increasing
demand for well-trained Business managers and Professional Administrators. This
is understandable because of the ever-advancing and technological-based dynamic
economies around the globe, hence training me in this best of the best school in the
United States would definitely prepare me to fill the vacuum in Nigeria, Africa,
and the world at Large.

Moreover, if given the opportunity to study this course in the United States and
specifically at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. I will be better
equipped on graduation to teach the incoming generation of students especially
from the developing economies where many schools are yet even to start offering
Business Administration and management courses due to lack of human resources
in that area. Without mincing words, my graduation from Business Administration
course in the United States will adequately position me to offer accurate advice to
business regulating authorities, numerous organization managers, and consultancy
firms. I am very optimistic that Nigeria, my home country, being a growing
economy will be in dire need of my service as a professional most especially in the
areas of business institution regulation as well as financial management. I will also
be very resourceful in human capacity development whenever the need arises.

In conclusion, giving the opportunity to pursue this course will be tantamount to

making the world a better place.
