Course Overview:

This video editing course, using Adobe Premiere Pro, is designed to give students a comprehensive
understanding of the video editing process, from start to finish. The course is divided into 8 sections,
each building upon the skills learned in the previous sections.

1. Introduction to Adobe Premiere Pro: Students will learn how to navigate the interface,
import and organize footage, and set up a project. They will also learn how to create a new
project, import and organize media, and understand how to use the different panels in the
Premiere Pro interface.

2. Basic Editing Techniques: Students will learn the basic tools and techniques for editing video,
including trimming, splitting, and cutting clips. They will learn how to use the timeline, add
clips to the sequence, and perform basic editing functions such as trimming, splitting, and
cutting clips.

3. Advanced Editing Techniques: Students will learn advanced editing techniques such as color
correction, audio mixing, and motion graphics. They will understand the different color
correction tools, how to adjust the brightness, contrast, and color balance of a clip, and how
to use the audio mixer to adjust the audio levels.

4. Effects and Transitions: Students will learn how to use effects and transitions to enhance
their videos and create a polished final product. They will learn about the different effects
and transitions available in Premiere Pro, how to apply them, and how to customize them to
achieve the desired look.

5. Titles, Text and Graphics: Students will learn how to create and edit titles, text, and graphics.
They will learn how to create and customize titles, add text to videos, and work with
different types of graphics such as logos, and lower thirds.

6. Advanced Audio Editing: Students will learn how to use advanced audio editing tools to
create professional-sounding audio tracks. They will learn how to use the audio mixer, how
to add and edit audio effects, and how to work with audio in a multichannel format.

7. Exporting and Sharing: Students will learn how to export their videos for different platforms
and devices, and how to share their videos with others. They will learn how to export their
videos in different formats and resolutions, how to create and export different types of
video files, and how to share their videos online.

8. Final Project: In this section, students will work on a final project that will bring together all
the skills learned throughout the course. They will work on a real-world project, using the
skills learned in the previous sections to create a polished, professional-looking video.

Throughout the course, students will have access to course materials, including video tutorials and
practice files. They will also have the opportunity to receive feedback on their work from the
instructor and other students, and will have the opportunity to ask questions and get help as
needed.

Prerequisites: Basic computer skills, and knowledge of the Windows or Mac operating system.
Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software is a plus but not required.
