Subject: Stipends and Housing Dear Participant of the ECE, Just a little more than one month to go before the ECE in Bochum starts. In the next couple of days you will get the contract for your ECE-stipend. Please, sign it and send it back to us as soon as possible. As you know, reservations for rooms and apartments have already been made in the halls of residence on campus. For administrative reasons we had to include the rent for the room in your stipend. Therefore, before your departure to Bochum, we need you to pay the rent. Depending on the hall of residence you will stay in, the rents vary. Therefore your stipends vary too so everybody has the same amount of money to spend at his hands here in Bochum. You will get either 800 or 840 as a stipend for the ECE. The list also attached to the Email you just got contains all the information you need to transfer the rent, i.e. the amount of rent you have to pay and a personal reference number. It is very important to include this personal reference number somewhere in your bank transfer.
