Paper 2 Exam question

1. The first and most important reason you might want to carry extra passport
photos is so that you have them on hand if your passport is stolen and you
have to get a replacement quickly. The problem with this scenario is that the
photos must be recent. Specifically, they must have been taken within the last
six months and reflect your current appearance in order to be valid. In some
countries, standard passport-sized photos are required to obtain a visa and
this is where an extra passport photo will come in handy
2. Database ID methods use data from a variety of sources to verify someone’s
identity card. Database methods are generally used to assess the level of risk
a user poses because they significantly reduce the need for manual reviews.
The most significant disadvantage of these methods is that they don’t ensure
that the person providing the information is the person conducting the
transaction, mostly due to the proliferation of false online identities. Other
methods can be Biometrics can be used to identify and authenticate people
based on physical characteristics. Biometric techniques are; facial recognition,
voice recognition, iris, and retina scanning and fingerprinting. These methods
offer a high level of convenience to customers (after the initial setup has
occurred) as no passwords need to be remembered, no questions need to be
answered, etc.
3. Biometric scanning reads travelers’ fingerprints, eyes or faces in order to
verify their identity and decrease check-in time. CLEAR, an identification
company leading the biometric airport check-in movement, scans passengers’
fingerprints and eyes in order to confirm their identity.CLEAR can save
passengers approximately 30 minutes throughout the check-in process, and is
currently available in more than 60 airports across the U.S. Users can use it to
enter stadiums and other venues as well as airports after subscribing to one
of the company’s plans.CLEAR, and companies like it, are quickly replacing
documented traveling. In the future, biometric check-in options will replace
boarding passes and passports completely. Officials reportedly said that the
systems do not biometrically track travelers.

Spear phishing
2. The customer identifies themselves and their bank account by using a bank
card. The card is inserted into the ATM where it is read by a magnetic stripe
reader or a smart card reader.
The customer also types a secret PIN into the ATM's numeric keypad to
confirm that they are the real owner of the card
3. Bank can inform us that phishing emails come in many forms as well as get
scam text messages, phone calls, or social media posts. But no matter how
phishing emails are delivered, they all contain a payload. This will either be an
infected attachment that you’re asked to download or a link to a bogus
website. The purpose of these payloads is to capture sensitive information,
such as login credentials, credit card details, phone numbers, and account
numbers.
Banks can inform customers that suspicious links if the destination address
doesn’t match the context of the rest of the email. There is a high possibility
that there is malicious software in that software, which causes trouble for the
devices. To ensure you don’t fall for schemes like this, you must train yourself
to check where links go before opening them.
4. For online banking: pros
- an online account is simple to open and easy to operate. Thus, people
can perform their transactions as them they want, which is convenient
for them. For instance, It's convenient, because you can easily pay
your bills and transfer your funds between accounts from nearly
anywhere in the world. Besides, you do not have to stand in a queue to
pay off your bills. Also, you do not have to keep receipts of all of your
bills, as you can now easily view your transactions. It is also available
all the time. You can perform your tasks from anywhere and at any
time, even at night or on holidays when the bank is closed. The only
thing you need to have is an active internet connection. It is fast and
efficient. Funds get transferred from one account to the other very fast.
You can also manage several accounts easily through internet
banking.
Cons
- Understanding the usage of internet banking might be difficult at the
first. That said, there are some sites that offer a demo on how to
access online accounts (not all banks offer this). So, a person who is
new to technology might face some difficulty. You cannot have access
to online banking if you don’t have an internet connection; thus, without
the availability of internet access, it may not be useful. Security of
transactions is a big issue. Your account information might get hacked
by unauthorized people over the internet. Password security is a must.
After receiving your password, change it and memorize it. Otherwise,
your account may be misused.

2. It’s the combination of black and white bars (also referred to as elements)
represents varying text characters that follow a pre-established algorithm for
that barcode (more on the types of barcodes later). A barcode scanner will
read this pattern of black and white bars and translate them into a line of tests
that the retail point of sale system can understand.
3. Misspelling a company name or addressing an invoice incorrectly happens all
too often, causing delays while the mistake is discovered, a new invoice
requested, and the amended document re-issued. Avoid confusion by being
explicit and detailed in describing what product or service has been provided.
Don’t give the client any excuse for disputing the invoice.
Always double-check the price quoted to ensure it’s the one agreed with a
customer and matches the job at hand. If an incorrect invoice has been sent,
the business must issue a cancellation invoice with its own, new invoice
number. This will include a negative invoice amount, as well as the original
invoice number and the date it was issued. Then, a correct invoice can be
raised with a different invoice number. However, the original invoice reference
should also be stated should HMRC seek clarification at a later date.
4. Businesses trying to achieve an efficient customer retention rate may not
focus on the needs of new customers. There may be chances of new
customers being overlooked by brands in a hoard to satisfy their existing
customers. If you choose the wrong loyalty partner, you may end up investing
heavily in the partnership and loyalty card processing costs but not reap the
benefits. It’s very hard for the loyalty framework to break away from the
transactional spirit. More than often, it appears that the one who is a frequent
buyer is a loyal one. But that may not be the case, as he may be buying from
the company just because that’s convenient for him. Or, he may be buying
just for the benefits that the loyalty program is giving him in the form of
rewards. Thus, loyalty, which in essence is an emotion, may not be gauged by
the loyalty program. However, this point on the list of pros and cons of loyalty
programs can be addressed by merging your loyalty program with advocate
marketing tactics. Reward customers for referring friends, writing reviews, and
the like. This will make it simpler to see who’s just a frequent buyer and who
among your loyal customers is actually willing to vouch for you. This
whitepaper will enable brands to understand the diverse types of loyals and
approaches to engage and retain valuable loyal.
