to see you succeed. The training you receive is built
on pillars that guarantee your professional success.
1. Hands-on learning
Project-based learning is our way. At code train, you
learn by doing. From your first day to your last, you're
graded on actual work that is similar to what you'll be
doing on the job. If it has no application in the industry,
we don’t bother with it.
2. Career services
As part of your training, you are prepared for job oppor-
tunities. You get to experience mock interviews and
practice technical tests that prepare you to ace the
toughest recruitment processes. We do everything we
can to ensure that you secure your first full-time role as
soon as you're ready.
And demo day career fair
3. All-round learning
Beyond technology, you get a holistic education where
you learn to communicate and advocate for yourself.
You are also trained to become an ethical leader with

Here's what we've learned after 5 years and over 500 train-
ees.
The traditional university system does not guarantee success
or even employment.
There are a number of reasons.
The 21st-century job market values skills over degrees. The
universities are excellent at preparing people for a career in
academia. Unfortunately, in the ‘real world’, employers are
looking out for candidates that can do a particular thing well.
They employ for skill sets rather than qualifications.
The size of the average university is too large to foster effec-
tive learning. Every student is part of a teeming crowd of
people. We've found that creating a strong, close-knit com-
munity does wonders for our trainees. The teaching fellows
are constantly rooting for the students and peer-to-peer
learning boosts their confidence. It gives them the boldness
they need to succeed in their careers.
90% of graduates from public universities are aimlessly job
hunting with no real hope of getting full-time, well-paying em-
ployment anytime soon. What we have done is curate a com-
munity of employers that we partner with. This partnership
keeps our program at par with industry demands and also
gives our graduates a network of potential employers.

with a public university degree. Investing two years
of your life in learning an in-demand skill like coding
could change the trajectory of your life.

Scholarships at Codetrain are given for 3 reasons
1. To promote diversity and inclusion
By giving scholarships to underrepresented groups in
tech, we get to include people who would have other-
wise been excluded by no fault of theirs.
We get to rope in more women, disabled people,low-in-
come earners, refugees, and rural dwellers.
2. To encourage innovation, brilliance, and boldness.
If you have an extraordinary achievement or have
proven yourself to be very good at something, we're
looking for you. Any kind of achievement took you a lot
of grit and boldness. And we'd be happy to support your
Codetrain journey.
3. To promote social impact
At Codetrain, we believe in making other people's lives
better. If you have done significant work in your commu-
nity through service or leadership, you have a high
chance of securing a scholarship.
If you fit the bill for one or more of these categories,
you're likely to receive a scholarship thanks to our part-
ners at |&P and the MasterCard Foundation. Go ahead
and apply.
