Lesson 6 | Inversion

What is Inversion?
Ito ay ang different ways ng pag-aarrange ng notes sa isang chord.

Purpose of Inversion
• Para magkaroon ng variation sa tunog ang isang chord
• Pwede din itong gamitin for convenience pag maglilipat-lipat ng mga chords while playing

Sa triad chord, merong tayong tatlong ways para maarrange ang mga notes nito. Ito ay ang:
 Root Playing (r)
 1st Inversion (1)
 2nd Inversion (2)

How to know which inversion to use?

• Common tone or note ang madalas gamitin para malaman kung anong in-
verion ang gagamitin. Sa mga chords naman na walang common tone, own
judgement na ito isang musician. (watch video to further understand)

What is Time Signature?

It indicates how many counts are in each measure.

Madalas na time signature ng mga kanta ay ang 4/4 time signature.

Other time signature : 3/4 time signature ( 1 2 3 | 1 2 3)

6/8 time signature ( 1 2 3 4 5 6 | 1 2 3 4 5 6)

What is Arpeggio?
Ito ay ang pagpla-play ng isang chord one note at a time. Meaning, you play the chord in a broken
note either ascending or descending.
