Type embodies the very essence of The Human Design System. It’s the basis f or the most
practical, empowering and transf ormative inf ormation – your Strategy and Authority.

Type is about your body, your genetics and your aura. It’s how you harmonize with the world
around you and align with your true nature. The f ive types are: the Manif estor, the Manif esting
Generator, the Generator, the Projector, and the Ref lector.

Each of the f ive personality types has a unique strategy f or making decisions and being in the
world. Knowing your type can help you develop conf idence and trust in your capacity to make
reliable decisions f or yourself . 

Congratulations, you are a Manifestor 

Energetic, powerf ul, ef f ective, impulsive, and mysterious, Manif estors are one of the rarest
types in the Human Design system, making up just 9 percent of the population. Unlike most of
us, who have to wait f or an opportunity or invitation, you are the only Type that has the energy
to start things, such as conversations, or even businesses, without waiting. A Manif estor is
constantly manif esting in their mind, when you get an idea, you can just go do it. And you can
usually do it quite well. A Manif estor is the only type that is pure energy. In society, we are all
conditioned to believe that we are Manif estors. We are told as small children to “just do it” and
to “go out and make things happen.” For most others, this becomes a f rustrating experience
that never really bears the f ruit we intend it to. In spite of your tremendous initiating energy,
you're not able to work in a sustainable f ashion. A regular Monday through Friday, nine-to-f ive
job is probably exhausting f or you, and you will f eel overwhelmed or even angry doing it.
Because Manif estors are the only type who can truly just do things without waiting, your energy
can make people a little uneasy—especially if you don't understand your own energy. When
you enter a busy room, most people will f eel your energy— you have a powerf ul presence, and
a powerf ul voice to match—but no one ever really knows you're about to do. This creates an
aura of mystery and sometimes even nervousness. Because as Manif estor, you can initiate
action, you don't necessarily need others to make things happen. You might get into a kind of
“manif esting groove” and simply create in accordance with your powerf ul creative energy. You
may of ten have communication issues. Being so energetic and driven, a Manif estor in action
can resemble a bullet train speeding to its f inal destination. But what Manif estors sometimes
don't realize is that there are people waiting at stations along the way hoping to get on, but
the train doesn't ever stop. The people waiting f or the train either f eel angry or lef t out; they're
conf used and f rustrated. If they're going the same way, why can't the Manif estor slow down
f or a second so you can make your way together? Eventually they may give up and catch a
dif f erent train. The Manif estor, meanwhile, doesn't see what the problem is. Didn't I get to the
destination with great ef f iciency and speed? Why are others trying to control my process? You
can see how these two perspectives—one collaborative, the other individualistic and results-
driven—might clash on some points.

How You Operate Most Effectively

Your strategy comes f rom your type, and it is probably the most important knowledge of f ered
by your Human Design chart. It gives you key inf ormation about how to make the right choices
f or you, and how to recognize when you are on the right path. 

Following your strategy of f ers you the opportunity to experience events and circumstances
that are correct f or you, while not f ollowing your strategy can bring events and experiences
into your lif e that may not be benef icial in the long run. Follow your strategy and you will truly
f ulf ill your personal destiny. 

Because learning to f ollow strategy ef f ectively can take months or years of practice, you can

Your Strategy is to To Inform 

As a Manif estor, your strategy is to inf orm others of your actions. A powerf ul Manif estor can
sof ten the impact of your energy and harness it to serve yourself and others by being
conscious of all the people who will be impacted by your actions and then tell them what to
expect. Inf orming doesn't come naturally f or Manif estors, and you may f eel controlled or
manipulated by others around you. Manif estors are not here to be told what to do! Most
Manif estors do not tell others what you're doing because you probably learned very early on
that others will try to stop you or tell you that what you want to do is not possible. Manif estors
who understand that inf orming can improve their relationships and remove resistance, will
create support f or their power and creative energy. It is important f or Manif estors to
remember that just because they inf orm doesn't mean that they have to stop or change what
they are doing. You are just letting people know what to expect. And just as others will f eel
more loved when you share your plans, you will also f eel more loved and respected when
others inf orm you about what is happening.  
Your Inner Authority
How You Make The Best Decisions
Did you know you’ve always had what it takes to make the correct decisions f or your
lif e? You’ve always had a trustworthy, personal Authority that you can rely on to make the
correct choices. When you start practicing your Strategy and Authority, you align with your
unique geometry. And, brilliantly, your genetic makeup, your reason f or incarnating and your
uniqueness are all expressed through you as your true self . Things just naturally f all gracef ully
into place.

Although decision making is tied directly to your strategy, your authority f lavors the way you
use your strategy. Authority will also depend on your lif e conditioning and your level of
emotional well-being. The more you clear your old energy patterns, the more ef f ectively your
natural decision-making skills (your authority) can f unction. You can then begin to use your
authority along with your strategy to help you make better decisions f or your lif e. 

It's very important to note that authority does not override your strategy— it just shif ts the way
you use your strategy so that your decisions and choices are even more in alignment with the
overall energy in your chart. 

Your Inner Authority Is Emotional - Solar Plexus 

When you have a def ined Emotional Solar Plexus, it will dramatically inf luence your strategy. The
def ined Emotional Solar Plexus is a motor with energy that pulses in waves. If you are
emotionally def ined, you probably know that you have moods or changes in your emotional
energy pretty regularly. It's pretty common f or emotionally def ined people to be terrif ied of
making decisions. They of ten have a history of enthusiastically leaping into decisions and then
waking up a f ew days later only to f ind that their mood has shif ted and now they are obligated
to f inish a project or a relationship that they just aren't in the mood f or anymore.
Understanding emotional authority will help you make better choices and signif icantly improve
your chances that your mood won't af f ect your commitments. If you have a def ined Emotional
Solar Plexus, you are not here to be spontaneous, though others will of ten put pressure on you
to leap into things. Leaping into things without waiting f or clarity will only create chaos in your
lif e if you have emotional authority. When you have emotional authority in your chart, you still
use your strategy, but you need to wait until it f eels right. 
Your Profile
What Makes You, You.
Your Prof ile is an integral part of your dif f erentiation as a unique individual. Taken f rom both
your conscious and unconscious def inition, it inf luences everything else you are. You may
be an emotional Generator, f or instance, sitting with three other emotional Generators, but if
you have dif f erent Prof iles you are very dif f erent people. Together with our Incarnation

With the 5/1 prof ile, we get to the f irst prof ile with transpersonal purpose. That’s by the way
also my prof ile! People with a personal purpose f ind the f ulf illment of their purpose through
their own process when they live their strategy and authority. People with trans-personal
purpose, on the contrary, NEED interaction with other people because they can f ulf ill their
purpose only in this way. What determines the interaction is decided by the genetic strategy
and authority. As a little example: People with personal purpose can spend their whole lives
meditating alone on the mountaintop when their strategy and authority guide them so, and
their purpose would be f ulf illed. People with trans-personal purpose, however, can’t do that.
They need other people. They have an „obligation“ corresponding to their genetics, and this
way f ind both their f ulf illment in lif e and the f ulf illment of their purpose. As this prof ile bears the
huge projection f ield of the f ive within itself , I recommend to you to read the f irst part of the
2/5 prof ile, that is about the 5, so you can understand this unique aspect of your prof ile more
deeply. Humanity has a general openness to the penetration by the f requency f ield of the 5/1
prof ile. While prof iles that contain a 4 have their area of inf luence in their closer environment,
the 5/1 prof ile has a potential inf luence on f amily, f riends, acquaintances, and total strangers.
They are tailor-made f or the masses. And precisely because they are made f or the masses, it’s
CRUCIAL f or people with the 5/1 prof ile to f ind a saf e f oundation in lif e, so they can – based on
it – give others practical solutions in times of need. When someone meets a person with the 5/1
prof ile, they immediately project onto the 5/1 prof ile being their savior. They project on the 5/1
prof ile being the solution to their problems. These problems can be health-wise, job related,
private, sexual, etc. People project on a 5/1 person to be the best partner, the best lover, the
best boss, the best employee, the best healer, the best president, the best f ather, the best
mother, etc. But when they make a mistake, and the expectations are linked to the projection,
they are the devil! Theref ore there are a f ew „rules“ f or people with the 5/1 prof ile: they must
f ollow their strategy and authority and thereby f ind something they love and genuinely want to
explore and investigate. It should be f ulf illing f or them and simultaneously of value f or others. In
this f ield, they should build a saf e and deep f oundation which they can use to provide practical
solutions f or their problems. As soon as they have delivered the answer, they should withdraw.
If they stay f or too long af ter the delivery in the f ield of the other person, more projections are
being put on the 5/1 prof ile they can’t f ulf ill, and then they mutate in the eyes of others f rom
an angel to the devil, a f rom Messiah to the Antichrist. Related to that, people with a 5/1 prof ile
are very cautious with their reputation. A good reputation is essential f or their success. But
when they haven’t done their „homework“ and haven’t f ound a solid f oundation f or themselves,
their reputation can be eradicated, so they either have to take on a new job or even have to
leave their f amiliar environment. As said bef ore, when not delivering the practical solution, they
mutate in the eyes of others f rom a savior to the devil! As a result, they of ten have a latent
paranoia in the interaction with others, as they f eel that these don’t really see them, but
