(re: Strengthening Pace eae To Schoolin Establishing Home Learning Space) This Memorandum 1 6 err tm Of Agreement (hereinafter “Agreement’) is made an 300 day of August 2021 at Paar Breet city National Science High School, Puerto 'cesa City, Palawan, Philippines, by and between: The PUERTO PRINCESA CITY NATIONAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL, 2 Public institution under the Department of Education, with office address at Barangay Sta, Monica, Puerto Princesa City represented by the School Principal IV, ELEANOR R. ALFARO, hereinafter referred to as the PPCNSHS. and The Parents- Teachers Association of Puerto Princesa City National Science High School represented by the President of the General PTA, JUAN F. GONZALES, hereinafter referred to as PTA and the PROPONENT. Witnessed that: WHEREAS, DepEd Order No. 54, s. 2009 as amended by DepEd Order No. 83, s. 2010, Republic Act 8525, otherwise known as Revised Guidelines Governing Parents- Teachers Association at the school level, was established to strengthen the partnership ‘between the school and the parents to work hand-in-hand for better quality education ‘Specifically in the contest of PPCNSHS being a legislated science high school; WHEREAS, the PTA and other stakeholders of PPCNSHS actively engaged in the different school’s Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) such as Brigada Eskwela. WHEREAS, the PTA of PPCNSHS initiated activities through engagements of its members in support to the implementation of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP) and to ensure the delivery of quality basic education notwithstanding the COVID-19 Pandemic. WHEREAS, the PTA assists the aims of the schoo! in its holistic development as part of its goals in achieving the ‘new normal’ in educational set up to foster and sustain the quality of education; and WHEREAS, the PROPONENT, has requested eamestly the cooperation of all the parents to create a leaming space or study area at home in preparation for the upcoming academic school year 2021-2022. Parents and their children were advised to prepare themselves for the Blended Distance Learning as the learning modality of the schoo! by sharing their photos and video clips. NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises and the terms and conditions herein set forth, the parties hereby agree as follows: Section 1. Description of the Project The project known as Strengthening Parents’ Support to School in Establishing Home Learning Space Section 2. Rights and Obligations of the PPCNSHS 1. The school shall provide inputs relevant to the project to all the parents/ guardians and students through a virtual orientation. 2. The school shall acknowledge the data submitted as part of the project. 3. The school shail assist the PTA in the implementation of the project. Section 3. Ri . Rights and Obligations of the PROPONENT qi ic The Proponent shall cause the implementation of the Strengthening Parents’ 'UPPOrt to School in Establishing Home Learning Space. 2. The Proponent has the right to claim the Pr part of the organization's ict as part of th tio vial the Project as 3. The Proponent shall coordinate closely with the PPCNSHS regularly in ine the implementation of the project. 4. The Proponent shall monitor, evaltiate, and coordinate the implementation of the Project to the school thru the school Brigada Eskwela Coordinator before the official Start of the opening of the academic school year. 5. The Proponent has the right to initiate sourcing out of funds for this project with the information and support from the school. Section 4. Scope of the Program or Project 1. The project beneficiary shall be the leamers of PPCNSHS. Section 5. Program Output 1. Each household of learner/s enrolled in PPCNSHS should be able to create a Jeaming space or study area at home in preparation for the upcoming academic schoo! year. 2. Each parent should send a copy of their documentation. Section 6. Term 1. The Home Learning Space Project shall be effectively implemented starting September 3, 2021 and must be sustained up to the end of the school year 2021-2022. ‘Section 7. Capacity and Authorization 1. The parties herein warrant that they have the capacity, power, and requisite authorization to enter into this agreement. Section 8. Separability Clause 1. Should any part of this agreement be judicially declared null and void, such nullity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions hereof. Section 8. Separability Clause 1. The violation or omission of any of the provisions of this Agreement shall be ground for the cancellation or rescission of the same without need for legal or court action.
