INTRODUCTION

WHY PRAYER POINTS?

I am a firm advocate for speaking in unknown tongues. I remember years

ago, my mother had newly joined our local church. She observed we
prayed all prayers in unknown tongues. At the time, we didn't quite raise
prayer points, we just came together and started to pray in unknown
tongues. We were sure God heard us, we knew we were speaking to God,
we knew we were speaking mysteries too. "For he that speaketh in an
unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him;
howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries." 1 Corinthians 14:2

We were surely edified and greatly energised! Always full of rejoicing and
great zeal. However, my mum had joined us from an older pentecostal
church, and she had observed a certain detachment among first-timers
with our prayer routine. It was as though we were in our world, and
anyone who joined in may not flow well with our spirituality.

At the time she raised this concern, I wasn't quite open to such
conversations. You must have heard that I was quite radical at the
beginning of my ministry. However, as I matured, I discovered a need for
deliberate inclusiveness in our meetings.

Some young ministers think the sermon is all that matters, and if the
pastor connects with the church via his sermon, then a new member

3
might catch up on the rest of the rope, but it doesn't quite work that way.
In reality, a new member might walk in at the start of the service; he or
she might hope to be immersed in the worship and the prayers just as
much as the sermon.

Experientially, I must say it is important that we design every part of our

services to connect with new people. Our meetings must have an air of
evangelism as much as teaching. A church focusing mainly on members
without aggressively prospecting sinners or new members might soon die
out. The more we have new people in church, the more we have disciples,
the more we will have new 'woods' to set on fire for Jesus. We would
have new contributions and new perspectives that will expand the
frontiers of the ministry, new conflicts, new challenges, and new hunger
for God.

While we must mature our members into disciples and ministers, the
cycle must always revolve around soul-winning and new members.

If we are winning souls or our church meetings are designed to bring in

new souls, then we can be sure many will be totally naive about the faith.
Some might not even know how to pray; some might not be able to relate
at all with our spirituality. Thus, we need to communicate our spiritual
essence to them in ways they can connect with.

"If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with
tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say
that ye are mad?
But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is
convinced of all, he is judged of all: And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest;

4
and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a
truth." 1 Corinthians 14:23-25

In the text above, notice the unbeliever and the spiritually unlearned are
used in the same breath. Notice also that this category of churchgoers
might perceive spiritual utterance as madness if there is no interpretation,
they might get spooked just looking at us talking wildly in tongues.

Now, some churches stopped speaking in tongues totally, just so new

folks can feel at home and not out of place, that is rather rash or even
foolish. We must not quench the Spirit; we must not forbid speaking in
unknown tongues. Unknown tongues is the signature of our new birth,
the very evidence that Jesus has given us God's Spirit, and He now
indwells us.

A church that speaks in unknown tongues will surely stay edified,

refreshed, zealous, supernaturally aware and walk in the miraculous
compared to the coldness and intellectual vigour many churches have
occupied themselves with.

Personally, I will prefer a Corinthian kind of church where there was

division, carnality, and strife etc. yet has strong utterance gifts being
demonstrated, and diverse gifts of the Spirit in operation to a well-
behaved church without any fire of the Spirit. You will notice that
Apostle Paul corrected the excesses of the Corinthian church without
destroying their demonstrations of spiritual gifts; rather, he showed them
a better way; love.

“I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by
Jesus Christ; That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all

5
knowledge; Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: So that ye come
behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also
confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus
Christ.” 1 Corinthians 1:4-8

He thanked God for their display of spiritual gifts! This is the right
approach. We must always encourage the gifts of the Spirit in
demonstration at all times. We must be glad to see them in operation.

“Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings.” 1 Thessalonians 5:19-20

Many leaders of local churches have quenched the Spirit by acting overly
intellectual, proposing some philosophical ideals, all as means to reach the
lost. When we reach the lost without spiritual fervency, they soon become
philosophical believers with no fire of the Spirit burning through them.
They soon become bible debaters who scrutinise God's power and gifts
and gravitate towards cessationism and other ungodly theories that
antagonise the public and private display of spiritual gifts!

However, just like I already shared with you, we must also have a holistic
approach while at it. Apostle Paul taught that we must level the ground
between our spiritual utterance privately and publicly. Privately, we can
pray in tongues for a lifetime, we have no one to connect with apart from
God who hears u,. we have no need for interpretation, except perhaps in
special moments when our intelligence suddenly lays hold on the spiritual
utterance we have spoken, thus giving us clarity on matters.

However, publicly, we must not only speak in unknown tongues, but we

must also interpret, especially when we are speaking to the church under
divine influence, or we are yielding ourselves intentionally to divine

6
influence, especially to demonstrate the gift of prophecy or any other gift
for that matter.

“But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and
comfort.
He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth
edifieth the church.” 1 Corinthians 14:3-4

Apostle Paul wasn't talking down on unknown tongues, rather he was

directing the church to know there is a higher use among the saints; when
we interpret our tongues, we can actually supply edification to the saints,
we can minister prophecy, we can minister word of knowledge, word of
wisdom, we can discern spirits, we can supply power, we can connect
with the church intellectually even though our source is supernatural.

“I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he
that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the
church may receive edifying.
Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you,
except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or
by doctrine?” 1 Corinthians 14:5-6

He took his time to explain how unknown tongues can be made

intelligible to the church for edification, especially since no one knows
what we are saying when we speak in tongues, only when we give
interpretations can the church receive edification.

“Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the
edifying of the church.
Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.”

7
1 Corinthians 14:12-13

Again.

“Else when thou shalt bless with the Spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the
unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou
sayest?” 1 Corinthians 14:16

“For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.
I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: Yet in the church I had
rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others
also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.” 1 Corinthians 14:17-19

Praise God!

Notice how apostle Paul connects the dots here. The church cannot say
'amen' when we are not communicating with our natural tongue. We
cannot get the church to agree over a prayer or an utterance if we choose
to speak over their heads, in unknown tongues, no one can understand us
or say 'amen' to that!

This is where prayer points come in. Prayer points are intellectual
presentation of desires that makes it easy for the church to sync
together on the same matter and achieve supernatural results.
Without prayer points, we will not be able to harmonise ourselves to
one prayer subject and supply the power of God's Spirit in that
direction.

When the early church prayed, they were harmonised in their desires; they
were together on the purpose and intent of their prayers.

8
“And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief
priests and elders had said unto them.
And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said,
Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in
them is: Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage,
and the people imagine vain things?
The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord,
and against his Christ.” Acts 4:23-26

Notice that they lifted their voices in one accord! This is the power of
prayer points. Everyone is in sync on the same matter.

“Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church
unto God for him.” Acts 12:5

In this case, the prayer was for Apostle Peter. His name must have been
mentioned in the prayers with his exact situation and the church's desire
for his release! There was an agreement over his life for this prayer to be
made.

Our Lord Jesus taught us to pray the prayer of agreement.

“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing
that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of
them.” St. Matthew 18:19

We can only agree through prayer points. Without prayer points, we will
never know exactly the contents of our desires, and we will not be able to
channel God's power in that direction.

9
Apostle Paul prayed for his churches, and there were specific prayer
points.

“Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord

Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers.”
Ephesians 1:15-16

He prayed for them. He mentioned them in his prayers! He had specific

desires over those churches. Specific prayers were made for them.

We must know that prayers are expressions of desires, which vary from
time to time. The church didn't always pray for Peter to be delivered from
prison after he was delivered, there was no need for that prayer, it had
already worked, and it was already done!

Let no one deny you of your privilege to pray and make any request to
God, as long as those requests are within the realities of His will as
presented in His word.

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in
due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7

Prayer is an expression of humility. It is a reception of God's care, it is

proof that we cannot do anything of our own; we trust the Lord, we lean
on Him!

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye
receive them, and ye shall have them.” St. Mark 11:24

10
At the heart of prayers are desires!

Let no one tell you you cannot pray about finances, a spouse, a job, or
anything else. If it matters to you, pray about it, God cares for us! All of
us!

We saw apostle Paul praying specifically for certain people and, in some
cases, asking the church to pray specifically for him.

“Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be
glorified, even as it is with you:
And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have
not faith.” 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2

This was a prayer point! Explicit, clear, no ambiguities. He didn't just ask
them to pray in tongues or pray based on guesses, no, they were to pray
specifically! This is how prayer works, it works with specific desires!

Our congregational prayers must be specific as we pray in our local

churches! We must harmonise the graces, virtues, zeal and desire of our
corporate body to work things out by the Spirit. We do this via prayer
points!

Our Lord Jesus prayed specifically for Peter.

“And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he
may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when
thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. St. Luke 22:31

At another time, He prayed specifically for all His disciples.

11
“For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received
them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that
thou didst send me.
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for
they are thine.” St. John 17:8-9

He prayed for us because we believed in the gospel as passed down

through the disciples.

“Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through
their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that
they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”
St. John 17:20-21

The Bible is filled with specific accounts of prayers. Isaac prayed for his
wife, Abraham prayed for Abimelech, Hannah prayed for a son, etc. Each
prayer was made within the prevailing situations and desires at those
times.

I can go on and on; there is much to say on this subject; however, I am

convinced you already got the point. Thus, begin to exercise your local
church to the use of prayer points for great supernatural results via
prayers, and testimonies will follow!

12
WHY PRAYER POINTS FOR WORKERS?

In my experience pastoring for over a decade, I can say authoritatively

that whatever a Pastor wants to see manifest in his local church must be
taught. It will not happen without some measure of intentionality.

Presently, we have three churches under our ministry. We used to have

more, I had to let some go. I overlooked some leadership matters that
cost me quite greatly. I recommend my book; A decade lessons. You
shouldn't repeat any of the mistakes I made, it can be devastating. We run
a homogeneous apostolic work for the now, meaning that our churches
follow the same template, hear the same sermon, do the same spiritual
exercises, and have the same mission. We are basically homogeneous at
this time, we may evolve into a heterogeneous model as the years go by,
but we are homogeneous for now. I suppose people must be well
grounded in their unity before empowering their diversities.

In my years of doing ministry, we raise new members who become

disciples and then leaders. They are often saddled with the responsibility
to lead prayers in their units, special meetings or even in church on
service days. I soon discover that majority do not know what ministry is
about; thus, they do not know what desires are imminent and what prayer
points are necessary for the workforce in a local church to thrive.

This book gives you insight into the prayer points that hold valuable
impacts on a local church's growth, unity and prosperity. These prayer
points are not all there are in the Bible, and surely they won't be all you
will ever need, but they can be a start. Our desires are numerous, and so

13
are our challenges; thus, you should always lead your congregation to
raise prayer points as occasion demands. Nonetheless, these prayer
points will help to guide anyone in your ministry when they lead the
workforce in prayers.

Through these prayer points, I am convinced the Lord will inspire you to
see more necessary prayer points that will harmonise the spiritual graces
of your house and cause great supernatural results.

It doesn't matter now if the fellow leading the worker's prayer is new or
old, you can easily recommend any prayer points for them, and your team
will follow. This saves us from the disorderliness in spiritual exercises.
Suppose we leave workers to raise whatever prayer they feel, in that case,
we might be exposing ourselves to all kinds of prayers that may not even
have effect on the workforce or the ministry.

The more we allow naive and disorderly expressions of spiritual service,

the weaker our system becomes. The more we promote harmonised
spiritual regiments, the more mature and orderly our system becomes.

I am persuaded you will find this resource helpful. Even though it is not
overly wordy, it will bless your local church and impact the prayer system,
especially in the workforce.

Yours in the Lord,

Harrison Ayintete.

14
30 PRAYER POINTS FOR WORKERS' PRAYERS
ON SUNDAY MORNINGS OR OTHER MEETINGS.

1. PRAYER FOR ZEAL

Isaiah 9:7
“Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of
David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with
justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”

Romans 12:11
“Not slothful in business; fervent in Spirit; serving the Lord.”

Without zeal, we cannot achieve much for the Lord Jesus Christ. Even
when there is money, without zeal, ministry becomes a heavy burden
upon the few zealous ones or even becomes tiring work for the majority
of the workforce.

We must pray to stir ourselves to zeal!

Only God's zeal brings the performance! Only fervency will do it!

Oh, what a blessing when a church is on fire! When everyone is burning

with zeal, ready to do the master's bidding at the first mention.

15
A church lacking in zeal is dying. It cannot press on, it cannot break the
limitations, it cannot get the job done, it cannot triumph against the
enemies' forces, it is limited and running out of breath.

Pray! Stir up your zeal!! Burn!! Be consumed with the energy of the Spirit!!

Run and not be weary.

Walk and not faint.

Let the world around you feel the heat of the mission!

Let your church burn with zeal!

16
2. PRAYER AGAINST LUKEWARMNESS

Revelation 3:15-16
“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my
mouth.”

Lukewarm believers are not much use in God's house.

We are going to pray against lukewarmness that we may be useful and

profitable to this kingdom!

17
3. PRAYER FOR FRUITFULNESS

St. John 15:8

“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.”

Every worker bears fruit!

In Jesus name!

No barrenness in service, no barrenness in result, evangelism, the

miraculous.

18
4. PRAYER FOR BOLDNESS

Ephesians 6:18-20
“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto
with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to
make known the mystery of the gospel,
For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought
to speak.”

Acts 4:29-31
“And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all
boldness they may speak thy word,
By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the
name of thy holy child Jesus.
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together;
and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with
boldness.”

No fear as we preach, no fear as we do God's work.

No fear as we press on.
We are bold in God!
Nothing stops us as workers in God's house.

19
5. PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING

1 Thessalonians 5:18
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

1 Thessalonians 1:2
“We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers.”

20
6. INCREASED USE OF FAITH

2 Corinthians 10:15-16
“Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but
having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to
our rule abundantly, To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast
in another man's line of things made ready to our hand.”

21
7. PRAYER OF INTERCESSIONS

1 Timothy 2:1-4
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of
thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may
lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men
to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

22
8. PRAYER FOR SOULS

Romans 10:1
“Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.”

Salvation through our ministry.

Through our services, outreaches etc.

We pray for souls!

23
9. PRAYER FOR INCREASE

Acts 2:41, 47
“Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were
added unto them about three thousand souls.
Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the
church daily such as should be saved.”

Acts 4:4
“Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was
about five thousand.”

1 Corinthians 3:6
“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.”

24
10. PRAYER FOR SERVICE

We serve God the more. We give our lives for the gospel!

2 Corinthians 5:14-15
“For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all,
then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth
live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.”

Philippians 2:7-8
“But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was
made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled
himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

Hebrews 3:5-6
“And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those
things which were to be spoken after; But Christ as a son over his own house; whose
house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the
end.”

We have the testimony of service.

We serve with all our hearts and might.

25
11. PRAYER OF CONSECRATION

Acts 20:24
“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I
might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord
Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.”

We consecrate our lives to the gospel. We refuse to be distracted.

We stay committed and focused on the gospel no matter the sufferings or

pressure we face.

2 Corinthians 11:24-28
“Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.
Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night
and a day I have been in the deep;
In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own
countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in
perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;
In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often,
in cold and nakedness.
Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all
the churches.”

We stand for the gospel no matter the persecution.

Acts 5:40-42

26
“And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they
commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted
worthy to suffer shame for his name.
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus
Christ.”

27
12. PRAYER FOR FAITHFULNESS

2 Timothy 2:2
“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit
thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

We choose to be faithful, loyal to the gospel, loyal to brethren, and loyal

to the mission of our ministry.

We pray for the Spirit of loyalty and faithfulness to abound in us.

1 Corinthians 4:2
“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”

1 Corinthians 4:17
“For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in
the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I
teach every where in every church.”

28
13. PRAYER AGAINST DIVISION AND
CONFUSION

1 Corinthians 14:33
“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”

We pray against strife.

1 Corinthians 3:3
“For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions,
are ye not carnal, and walk as men?”

We pray against such carnality.

We pray against such Spirit of destruction and division.

We pray against such spirits that confuse and cause ungodly separations.

29
14. PRAYER FOR THE SPIRIT OF
ONENESS IN OUR MIDST

St. John 17:11, 21-23

“And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee.
Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they
may be one, as we are.
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may
be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as
we are one:
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world
may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”

Oneness by the Spirit.

Unity by the Spirit.

Ephesians 4:3-6
“Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and
through all, and in you all.”

God's Spirit is at work in us, promoting unity of purpose, unity of service,

unity of godly character, and unity of understanding.

1 Corinthians 12:20, 25-27

30
“But now are they many members, yet but one body.
That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same
care one for another.
And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be
honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.”

31
15. PRAYER OF WARFARE

Ephesians 6:10-12
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye` may be able to stand against the wiles of the
devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places.”

We stand in our authority and declare God's power against all demonic
forces and hordes working against our ministry.

St. Luke 10:18-19

“And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power
of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

We declare God's work through us prospers no matter the obstacles and

attacks.

1 Peter 5:8 -9
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh
about, seeking whom he may devour:
Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished
in your brethren that are in the world.”

We resist satan! We abound in glorious victory!

32
We have testimonies upon testimonies of triumph!

In the mighty name of Jesus!

2 Corinthians 2:14
“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and
maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.”

We have the victory by faith in Christ.

1 John 5:4-5

overcometh the world, even our faith.

God?”

Whatever we set our hands to do in the work of this ministry prospers!

37
“Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and
he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched
forth.
But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and
they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he
arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there
was a calm.
And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying
one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and
water, and they obey him.”

As we launch forth in our endeavours, nothing stops us, no evil stops us,
no calamity stops us!

38
19. PRAYER FOR DELIVERANCE

As we go about in our service to God, we are delivered from evil!

We are delivered out of them all!

No matter how many come against us, we are delivered!

2 Timothy 3:10-11
But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering,
charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium,
at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

2 Timothy 4:17
“Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the
preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was
delivered out of the mouth of the lion.”

The mouth of the lion signifies every agenda and assault that seeks to
destroy us aggressively like a hungry lion. We are delivered from them all.

No matter their plans, it will not prosper!

2 Thessalonians 3:1-3
“Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be
glorified, even as it is with you:

20. PRAYER AGAINST CONSPIRACIES

Acts 23:12-13, 21-24

And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under
a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.
13 And they were more than forty which had made this conspiracy.
21 But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than
forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor
drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from
thee.
22 So the chief captain then let the young man depart, and charged him, See thou tell
no man that thou hast shewed these things to me.
23 And he called unto him two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers
to go to Caesarea, and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two hundred, at the
third hour of the night;
24 And provide them beasts, that they may set Paul on, and bring him safe unto
Felix the governor.

saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the
Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of
his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to
the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him
from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all
principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not
only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to
the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”

might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,

GIVING

2 Corinthians 8:1-7
“Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of
Macedonia;
How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty
abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of
themselves;
Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the
fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and
unto us by the will of God.
Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you
the same grace also.
Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in
all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.”
