Hello everyone,
Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Rahim.

As Regional Ambassador of Asia-Pacific , I joined office after elections with

complete sense of duty that we must strive together for a stronger region and
what better way of achieving that than bringing people from across border
together to work on one project, exploring individual strengths and weaknesses
and putting them to test while we can also make friends and have fun! IADS
Annual Summit of Asia-Pacific 2021 aims to uphold our motto “Together is
Better”! We aim to explore dentistry and help everyone interested to explore it!

The whole team has worked hard for this event. If you join, you will be a part of
scientific programs to enhance your knowledge and understanding of dentistry.
You will also join a Panel Discussion regarding Graduate Education Programs
around the world that equips you with knowledge about various opportunities
you may be interested in with regards to your future career options. Also there is
going to be a Clinical Case Presentation Competition. I found out that presenting
clinical cases is rather a new concept to many students, they do not have their
cases compiled and they, therefore, lack the motivation to participate in the
competition. At the same time, there are students who are very eager to present
their cases and this competition provides an opportunity for both. Those who
have participated can present their cases and those who could not present can
still join and learn from others presentations.

Of course, this is not all! You will also be able to become a part of a Cultural
Exchange Night that we have organized where you can socialize with dental
students from around the world, get a chance to virtually learn about the culture
and food of different countries in the Asia-Pacific Region and much more!

We, dental students and dentists are the stakeholders of the future of dentistry
and only through mutual cooperation, intercultural tolerance, and strong
relationships can we take on the role in all honesty. I hope that everyone who
attends can learn, explore and have fun during the summit!

Hoping that we can together uphold the past tradition of IADS to produce an
amazing event and simultaneously set an example through this
event for future events in the region.

Dear all dental students,

From a tiny hope and strong will we had in the first term
of this office, we started gather together all hard worker
committees months later to make this happened,
and this day finally has come.
I’m as Regional Associate of Asia Pacific Region along with all committees,
proudly announce the first IADS Annual Summit in Asia Pacific region.
We strongly believe what we've been all doing right now, neither as
committees nor as participants from all over the world, will make a big
impact in the future. By sharpening our knowledges, gain new
experiences, meeting new friends, and many others positive things even in
this pandemic situation, will prove that we have strong determination to
unite together as dental students that will be the agent of changes for
whenever and whoever we are in this world.
This may be our first summit, but will not be the last, for sure. We believe
this summit will continue in the future and will be a starting point for
other regions too.

Honorable IADS members,
IADS Asia Pacific Distinguished Delegates,
Your region is writing history by organizing the 1st regional summit in
IADS!
It’s time to embrace new concepts of regional collaboration if we want
to have the global spirit that we call upon for a long time. The
International Association of Dental Students -IADS- embrace the
diverse atmosphere to implement student-centered oral health projects
and to advocate for interprofessional collaboration to support the
dental students to exchange their knowledge and expertise between
each other and the older generations of dental professionals.
Building a healthy environment in IADS will not become a reality
without the Asia Pacific dental students contributing into the
development of our profession for a better future. We live in a world
filled with competition and trends, requiring youth to lead and regulate
the new policies that we need to follow as dental professionals and
guide more students to think about the oral health inequalities in their
local area searching for similar regional problems to find impactful
solutions.
As dental students, we tested our educational systems in our dental
schools and we identified the oral health issues in our communities.
We shall not forget the issues that we face when we move on in our
lives, but we need a collaborative effort to turn them into successful
plans. This summit is an open opportunity for the Asia Pacific dental
students to shape these plans to the world with their calm spirits and
wise minds for better curriculum development in our schools, and
satisfactory oral care for our loved ones.

IADS and Asia-Pacific country delegates are pleased to invite all
the dental students to the ASAP 2021 Clinical Case Presentation
competition. Send us cases seen and studied by you in the
premises of your own institution during ward rounds or OPD
postings which demonstrate rare conditions, unique patients
and ingenious treatments or are emotionally string.

founded in 1951 in Copenhagen in order to serve the
educational needs of dental students throughout the world. IADS
represents the interests of more than 200,000 dental students in
around 60 countries worldwide. The Association also strives for

Greetings, dental students in Asia and the Pacific and
beyond!
With the basis of unity and mutual knowledge to
further build capacity and capability in the emerging
dental environment, we are proud to announce the
first IADS Annual Summit of the Asia-Pacific (ASAP),
carefully organized by the Regional Office of Asia-
Pacific! Held entirely online, it is our hope that this
conference may serve as a platform for dental students
in Asia and the Pacific not only to broaden their
relations and network through interactive discussions,
Indonesia but also to challenge their writing and speaking skills
Viandra through the competitions we offer as well as to gain
Tjokroadiredjo new perspectives and knowledge through our series of

 Hello there! I’m May from Taiwan and I’m one of the
webinar organizers.
During the past year, the pandemic has made physical
international exchange come to a halt. However, this
doesn’t stop us from creating more possibility and
communication online. The ASAP provides an
opportunity for dental students around the globe to
share perspectives both academically as well as non-
academically. Aside from the webinars, it includes case

My name is Arman Baimbetov and I am the President
of Kazakhstan Association of Dental Youth. It is a great
honor for me to speak on behalf of dental students of
Kazakhstan. We became a part of IADS quite recently,
so our ambitions are endless!
The pandemic certainly limited our capabilities, but at
the same time opened up new. Therefore, this event
will be unique, and I believe that it will provide us
opportunities for self-development and unforgettable
Kazakhstan impressions!

I am Yasmine Lee, president of MDSA and country
delegate of IADS from Malaysia. The pandemic has
affected us one way or another. However, we as the
organizing committee would like to keep the spirits up
so dental students could gain something during this
