PROJECT INTRODUCTION

As the world first populated country, though developing very fast in economic and business field,
China still enjoy huge problems in education resulting in the imbalanced education resources
distribution. Founded in 2008, Dare to Dream was initiated to improve the educational resources
balance between rural areas and urban areas, aiming at providing opportunities for teenagers in rural
middle schools to know the outer world better and be bold to chase their dreams, by hosting
summer camps and winter camps with young people from all over the world.

Dare to Dream ("D2D" for short) is a platform that provides college students with in-depth
knowledge of local children's education and teaching opportunities. It recruits outstanding college
students as volunteers to go into the community and cooperate with foreign volunteers to conduct
short-term teaching for children for 56 days. In the preliminary training, volunteers can learn how to
design courses reasonably, exercise their eloquence and courage, and stimulate their expression
potential. At the same time, volunteers can also contact international friends (mainly in online form),
and make progress and gain friendship with international friends and children. Also, children can
have a deeper understanding of transnational culture and gain more interesting knowledge.
EP FEEDBACKS

EP from Serbia
NPS 10 AIESEC in UNNC

“I knew that embarking on this trip will give me some knowledge about who i am, what
am i capable of and how to improve myself, but I never knew that this was gonna be
such an emotional and life-changing experience. We have an immense bond among us,
EPs and OCs, but also with the kids we worked with, we stayed in touch with them ever
since. Definitely this will bring me back to China once again, but more over, this opened
doors for me throughout the whole world. I've made so many friends that it will take me
about two years to visit them all properly. Program's name was Dare to Dream 3.0, and
sure when I got back home, it all seemed like dream. Best time of my life.”

EP from Kazakhstan
NPS 10 AIESEC in OUC

“I want to thank with all my heart AIESEC, Qingdao OC team for great experience, vivid
emotions, homely and inviting atmosphere. They were responsible to their work and did
their best to make us (i mean, EP) feel comfortable. I think, they are the best OC team of
the best, lol. And a host family was very kind, hospitable and responsive. My lovely
Chinese family.(one more BIG plus to OC team`s work)What else... I was pleasantly
surprised by the attitude of the Chinese to foreigners. They were very responsive,
polite and tried to help as best they could. In the end, I would like to commend the work
of buddies. They helped and supported me so much that I wasn't even nervous. OC
team chosen amazing people for buddy work.”

AIESEC JLU

“This is definitely the best abroad experience that ever happened in my life! I can tell
that the AIESEC JLU OC team and the local volunteers really did a good job on
arranging this project. And I think allocating Chinese volunteers to be EP buddies is
really a good way to let EPs get more used to Chinese culture. However, there are two
points that I would like to suggest, first of all, is that I think the finalized timeline should
be officially informed, or to say that, could settle the finalized timeline earlier. Although
all EPs had received the reception booklet including timeline before our arrival, but
there were several changes in timeline after we arrived Beijing. Another point is that, I
suggest to post the important message by email, individual message, or any place that
we can easily check or be informed. I really don't recommend to post important
message in the chatroom (ex: WeChat chatroom) because the chatroom may be usually
crowded and full of messages, it is possible for people to ignore or miss out important
message, if people do not check every single message at any time.”
