Introduction
Mariland Imaging was founded 2018 as a
family run business to offer the much needed
imaging services in Norton, Zimbabwe.

We identified a critical need for localised

imaging services as patients in Norton had to
travel more than 60Km to access Harare
based faiclities. This often strained patients'
budgets, lengthened time between
consultation and review as well as increasing
discomfort on an unwell patient.

We have since grown our imaging center to

serve a population of 150 000 people in
Norton and surrounding areas

To be a last mile imaging services provider to
underserved remote rural communities in
Zimbabwe

Problem
The government of Zimbabwe did well in
establishing health centers in remote areas of
the country. These centres lack basic imaging
services like ultrasound scans, CT Scan and
X-rays. Consequently, patients are forced to
travel many hours to urban towns for these
services. Some patients end up forfeiting the
investigation for lack of funds to make the
long journey thereby compromising their
health outcome.

Lack of imaging centers is a countrywide
problem affecting both rural peri-urban areas.
The underserved areas do not have efficient
transport systems such that patients use
wheelbarrrows, oxdrawn carts and walking
which at times lead to further deterioration of
their health.

2021 - Procurred 2 ambualances but restricted by
geopolitical challenges from importing.
2022 - Established 2nd imaging center in Chisipite
2022 - Awarded best healthcare practitioner in
Norton for the year 2022 ; NOTAS Awards
2022 - Served our 5000th patient

private doctors, surgeries, council clinics, district
hospitals and form solid refferal arrangements

We are registered with all medical aid service providers
in Zimbabwe. This means we get both insurance paid
patients and cash paying clients.
