I. Learning Objectives:

At the end of the lesson the learners will be able to:

a. Identify safety signs and symbols in welding workplace


b. Illustrate safety signs and symbols
c. Appreciate the importance of safety signs and symbols in their daily living.

A. Preparatory Activities

1. Let the learners answer the following questions:


-What are the four common environmental hazards?
-What are the things that should be check before the welding procedures?

C. Motivation

1. Provide pictures with precautions.


2. Engage students by asking them to guess what they can see in the picture.
3. Ask them where they commonly see the provided pictures.

D. Developmental Activities

1. Presentation of the Lesson

a. The teacher prepared slides of pictures to be presented to the learners.


2. Discussion
a. The teacher will give a clear discussion on how to identify hazards and risks
using the different safety signs and symbols in welding workplace.
b. Let the learners be familiarized with the safety signs and symbols using the
sample pictures.
c. The teacher prepared set of questions to engage learners during the discussion.

3. Fixing Skills
a. Have the learners to evaluate a video presentation about hazards and risks.
b. Let the students share what they have observe in the video presented.
c. In a span of 30 seconds, let the learners illustrate on a clean bond paper one (1)
example of safety signs and symbols.
d. Ask learners on how they can apply the safety signs and symbols during the
welding procedures as well as in their daily living.
