I. Learning Objectives:

At the end of the lesson the learners will be able to:

a. Identify the proper way of handling equipment in manicure and pedicure.
b. Differentiate the ways in handling equipment in manicure and pedicure.
c. Appreciate the proper way of doing a task.

II. Subject Matter: Proper Way of Handling Nail Care Equipment

III. Procedure
A. Preparatory Activities

1. Prayer
2. Checking of attendance

B. Review

1. Let the learners answer the following questions.

-Give some types of nail care tools.
-What are the tools to soften calluses?
-What do we use to clean nail care tools?
C. Motivation

1. Have the learners watch a video clip from youtube.com.

2. Let the learners express their experience about the video presented.
D. Developmental Activities

1. Presentation of the Lesson

a. The teacher prepared slides of pictures to be presented to the learners.

2. Discussion
a. The teacher will give a clear discussion on how to handle properly the equipment in
manicure and pedicure.
b. Let the learners have a clear understanding on the difference of tools and equipment in
nail care.
c. The teacher prepared set of questions to engage learners on the discussion.

3. Fixing Skills
a. Learners will have a short activity and will be group into two. Girls will work together
same with the boys.
b. The activity is about identifying the pictures presented with the provided clues.
c. The group who will have the highest points will be the winner of the activity.

E. Evaluation

Identify the appropriate nail care tools and equipment used in each body parts.
