II. Subject Matter


A. Topic: Lesson 1 Use of Nail Care Tools and Equipment
B. Materials Needed: Chalk, chalkboard, printed materials, Learning Module
C. Reference: K-12 Basic Education Curriculum Learning Module, pp. 27-35

III. Procedure

A. Elicit:
Ask students about their previous knowledge and experiences with nail care tools
and equipment.

B. Engage:
1. Display images of different nail designs and ask students to discuss the tools and
equipment they think were used to create those designs.
2. Conduct a short survey among students to determine their interest in nail care and if they
have any experience in using nail care tools.

C.Explore:
Activity 1: Identifying Nail Care Tools
Materials: Pictures of different nail care tools, chart paper, markers
Instructions:
1. Divide the class into small groups.
2. Distribute the pictures of nail care tools to each group.
3. Ask the groups to identify and label the tools.
4. Have each group present their findings to the class.
Rubrics:
- Correct identification and labeling of tools (10 points)

Materials: Nail care tools (nail clippers, nail file, cuticle pusher, etc.), hand lotion, cotton
balls, towels

2. Allow students to practice these techniques on their own nails.
3. Provide guidance and feedback as students perform the tasks.
