Protagonists

Kanede “Kein Ende” (No End) – Cocky, impulsive, and proud woman, Kanede is
a good-hearted mercenary with close-combat expertise. She also has her
Stage ability which enhances her body, depending on which Stage she uses,
covering her body parts in tribal-like glowing tattoos.
SPOILER! Kanede has that ability because it is later revealed that she is
one of ONE’s clones, made sorely for defeating him, although she lacks his
ability to grow stronger each time he survives an attack. She is also only
capable of using four-fifths of her full power because she refuses to use
her Stage One. SPOILER!
Agnis “AGN-15” (Artificial Genocide Nymph) – Gentle, childish, optimistic,
kind, many positive words can define Agnis as a person, even if she isn’t
exactly a person. She discovers later that she has her Phase ability,
which is like Kanede’s Stage ability, but she enhances her body in a
different way, having flowerish tattoos instead.
SPOILER! Agnis has that ability for the same reason as Kanede: She is
ONE’s clone. However, her difference is that she was imbued with
Benevolence’s essence, giving her angel-like personality, because her
creator believed that was the only way to defeat ONE. SPOILER!
Delvin “Scharr” (Purifier) – Calm, strategic, smart, Delvin excels at
whatever job he is given, especially when it involves eliminating a
target. Despite saying otherwise, Delvin has essence inside him, and so
can use his ability Blooming Death, which grants him the power to summon
Purity, a sniper rifle that can morph into a pistol (Obviously sacrificing
firepower in the process). Purity’s bullets create Death Flowers that
roots into any living being it hits, causing excruciating pain that causes
a instant death due to trauma.
SPOILER! Delvin is the Executor’s true identity, and he takes this role
because he was made from Justice and twisted by Pride. Above anything
else, his sole purpose is to purge Darkness from the world, for he is only
capable of seeing it (He later finds out that he is blind to Light).

Deuteragonists
Shiruzui “Kaputt” (Broken) – Cold, tough, hot-headed, Shiruzui is what
defines a “hard to deal with” person. Being a rigid, but good-hearted
captain, she receives the respect she deserves from her crew. Despite
being traumatized from her past as a sailor, Shiruzui didn’t let it stop
her from fulfilling her dream: Becoming the best captain her crew ever
met. Shiruzui has essence, granting her the ability Deep Sea: It allows
her to control water, but it screws her blood along with it, making it go
out of her nose, eyes or mouth. Excessive use of Deep Sea can make her
anemic or even dead.
SPOILER! Shiruzui later confronts Temperance and isn’t killed by it
because she was found worthy of carrying the Symbol of Temperance. She
extended the use of Deep Sea, almost killing herself in the process, to
protect her crew from Temperance, and after passing out, she is carried by
it to Heavenlight.
Big “Tier innerhalb” (Beast Within) – Quiet, isolated, grumpy, Big is that
kind of old guy that doesn’t like anyone around him, and that would be
true if not for Shiruzui, who he treasures the most. Because he isn’t
human, his size is clearly disproportional to anyone else. His natural
ability is Howling, which allows him to morph his body to its original
form, a true beast, bigger and stronger than he already is.

Dea “Matschig” (Squishy) – Easygoing, extrovert, numbskull, Dea isn’t

exactly the most intelligent being on board, but she is dedicated to her
work at Albatross, taking care of most chores around the ship. Despite not
being smart, she isn’t ignorant, and hides more than she shows. Dea misses
her sister, but doesn’t think her sister wants her back, so she never
tried to go look for her.
SPOILER! Dea is actually a blue slime trying to reject her non-humanity
and join in. After encountering her sister, Noumu, she learns to accept
herself the way she is, and her friends support that. She reveals her
ability, Collection, which allows her to multiply herself into various,
smaller versions of her, that keep the same capabilities as her whole
self. Her cap is at 30, because past that number she can’t control the
copies anymore.
Noumu “Mütterliche Liebe” (Motherly Love) – Fierce, anti-social, cold,
Noumu is the definition of a stone-hearted person. While still being a red
slime, and the sister of Dea, her killer personality is her most notable
trait. However, despite her devious character, she actually cares and
loves her sister more than anything.
SPOILER! Noumu left Dea behind to search for their mother’s killer.
Wu “Unzerbrechlich” (Unbreakable) – Cold (no pun intended), disciplined,
practically emotionless, Wu came from a noble family who pledged loyalty
to Mike’s noble family, with each generation of the [Wu Family Name]
having to protect their [Mike Family Name] counterpart. However, she is
the last of her family, since the [Wu Family Name] Massacre, caused by the
Executor. Being essence gifted, her ability is Below Zero, which allows
her to create nearly unbreakable ice when she is full of determination,
weakening down to fluffy snow when she is hopeless. A extension of her
ability is the Absolute Zero form, when she imbues ice within herself,
becoming a ice creature, being able to create unbreakable ice that can’t
melt away.
Supporting Cast
Mike (Inventor) – Mike is a energetic and creative inventor, being
carefree about most situations and not letting negativity make him feel
down. He is the last descendent from the [Mike Family Name] and therefore,
being guarded by Wu. After the Teleporter Escape, he relieves Wu of her
duties, breaking his family seal in the process.
Louie (Cook) – Louie is mostly like a sly fox, trying to talk his way out
of various situations, failing every time he must deal with Shiruzui or
Noumu (and sometimes Delvin). As a crew member, his job is to cook, clean
and give Dea the trash, and he actually does that when he isn’t slacking
off. While cooking, his personality changes abruptly, as he becomes way
calmer and more collected, focusing on the meal he is preparing.

Backstory (World)
In the beginning, Gaia made the world and filled it with life. Then,
before it went to sleep, it left the world with the gift of Essence and
the protection of 14 Symbols of Virtues, who were selected people to watch
over humanity. The symbols were:
Auctoritas - "Spiritual Authority" - The sense of one's social standing,
built up through experience, Pietas, and Industria.
Comitas - "Humour" - Ease of manner, courtesy, openness, and friendliness.
Clementia - "Mercy" - Mildness and gentleness.
Dignitas - "Dignity" - A sense of self-worth, personal pride.
Firmitas - "Tenacity" - Strength of mind, the ability to stick to one's
purpose.
Frugalitas - "Frugalness" - Economy and simplicity of style, without being
miserly.
Gravitas - "Gravity" - A sense of the importance of the matter at hand,
responsibility and earnestness.
Honestas - "Respectability" - The image that one presents as a respectable
member of society.
Humanitas - "Humanity" - Refinement, civilization, learning, and being
cultured.
Industria - "Industriousness" - Hard work.
Pietas - "Dutifulness" - More than religious piety; a respect for the
natural order socially, politically, and religiously. Includes the ideas
of patriotism and devotion to others.
Prudentia - "Prudence" - Foresight, wisdom, and personal discretion.
Salubritas - "Wholesomeness" - Health and cleanliness.
Severitas - "Sternness" - Gravity, self-control.
Veritas - "Truthfulness" - Honesty in dealing with others.
With the 14 Symbols, were created Heavenlight, a place where people’s
souls, dead or alive, could go if found worthy. However, Dignitas didn’t
find the parameters to be high enough, saying that “anyone could go to
Heavenlight”. He convinced the other Symbols to make it harder to come to
Heavenlight, because it was supposed to be a place of Light. So it was
done, however, Dignitas wasn’t satisfied. He demanded trim the filter down
even more, and that’s when Clementia stepped in. She argued with Dignitas
over the “worthiness of the souls”, saying that everyone deserved a chance
at Heavenlight. Eventually, they fought, and the symbols were broken into
7 Virtues and 7 Sins. A tragedy marking the banishment of the Sins was the
death of Clementia, the symbol of Benevolence. Banished from Heavenlight,
the remaining symbols forged Underworld, a place where any soul would be
accepted. Following this tragedy, humanity felt into chaos, pursuing
technology to achieve their own power. This awakened Gaia, who put a halt
at it’s blessing, stopping Essence from flowing through all but the
worthiest of the souls, while also breaking humanity into other races, as
monsters.

7 Deadly Sins
Pride
was the worst of the seven deadly sins because it was considered to be the
source of the rest. It is the excessive admiration of the self. People
commit the sin of pride when they forget their own lack of divinity and
refuse to acknowledge their limits, faults, or wrongs. The Greeks had a
related concept called hubris, which meant dangerously corrupt
selfishness. In particular, hubris consisted of acts, such as rape, in
which a person gratifies himself by humiliating another person. Other
concepts related to pride include vanity and vainglory. Vanity means
excessive belief in one’s own abilities or attractiveness. Vainglory is
unjustified boasting. People who are suffering from excessive pride may
qualify for a diagnosis of narcissistic personality disorder.
ONE (The One Above All) – Once the symbol of Dignitas, ONE is the first
virtue that became a sin when he claimed the souls of Heavenlight unworthy
of being there. He was challenged by Clementia, starting the Heavenly War,
which ended with the death of Clementia. He took the mantle of
Benevolence, standing tall as the most powerful Sin/Virtue. His ability is
Level, in which each of the 5 Levels enhance a part of his body.
Additionally, he has another ability called What Pride Had Wrought, in
which he grows stronger each time he survives an attack, making him
virtually invincible.

Lust
means uncontrolled desire. Lust could mean uncontrolled sexual desire, but
it could also mean desire for money, power, etc. Lust is generally
considered the least serious of the seven capital sins because sins of the
flesh are less grievous than spiritual sins.
Lust – Lust is targeted to be the Sins’ traitor, revealing the location of
the Underworld for being promised a place at Heavenlight. She meets her
demise at the hands of Chastity, who decapitates her.

Gluttony
Today, we think of gluttony as eating too much food. However, gluttony
(gula in Latin) originally meant taking more than your fair share of
anything, especially to the point of waste. As a result, other people
might have to go without. In other words, wanting more than is good for
you is lust, but taking more than your fair share is gluttony.
Gluttony – Gluttony is targeted to sacrifice herself to protect Envy from
the Executor, giving him time to hide Kanede. She meets her demise with a
bullet inside the mouth.

Greed
is also known as avarice, cupidity, or covetousness. It means desire for
objects and material wealth. In particular, it means a desire to get and
to have more than you really need. Greedy people hoard things instead of
sharing, and they take things that they do not deserve. Sometimes, they
take things through trickery or even through violent acts.
Greed – Greed will be the first to fight on behalf of his friends. He will
fight against the Executor to save Sloth. He meets his demise with a
bullet between the eyes.

Sloth
means a failure to do what you are supposed to do. In other words, sloth
leads to sins of omission. Sloth can imply laziness, such as failure to do
your fair share of work. It can also imply a failure to act. As Edmund
Burke wrote, All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good
men do nothing.
Sloth – Sloth will be the first one to go against his Sin and make efforts
to win. He will fight to protect Greed against the Executor. He will meet
his demise due to exhaustion, making his sickness kill him.

Wrath
means uncontrolled feelings of anger, rage, or even hatred. It can range
in intensity from ordinary impatience to a self‐destructive desire for
revenge. Wrath can persist long after the person who was the target of the
anger has died. As a result, wrath can give rise to feuds that last for
generations. Note that wrath arises out of anger, which is one of the
seven basic emotions. Wrath means that the anger is being allowed to have
bad effects on behavior, rather than providing the motivation to achieve
something good.
Wrath #1 – Wrath fights Kanede at the Cassino and meets his demise when
Diligence kills him.
Wrath #2 (Samurai Wrath) – This wrath is fueled by revenge for his
friend’s death (Wrath #1). He meets his demise at the hands of Wu’s
Absolute Zero form.
Envy
is similar to lust and greed in that it involves uncontrolled desire. Envy
means that you are sad or resentful because someone else has something
that you want, whether it is some sort of material possession or some
trait. Envy is bad enough. Jealousy is worse. Envy means that you want
something that someone else has. Jealousy means that you hate the person
for having it.
Verrt (Traitor) – Once the first Virtue to take Clementia’s side, deemed
traitor of Heavenlight. His ability is Mirror World, in which he breaks
every non-organic material in a certain radius around him into mirror
shards, where he can freely travel to and from. The Mirror World is a
exact reflection from the Real World, however, Envy can’t interact with
living things inside the mirror. Envy meets his demise when the Executor
corners him.

7 Holy Virtues
Humility
is the opposite of pride. Humility does not mean irrationally low self‐
esteem. (Irrationally low self‐esteem can be a symptom of depression. It
is also a feature of dependent personality disorder.) Instead, humility
means that you understand your proper place. You recognize your flaws and
shortcomings, and you show proper respect to those who outrank you in some
way. For example, students must recognize their own ignorance, and they
must respect the knowledge and wisdom of their teachers. Students who lack
this humility are unlikely to learn much in school.
Humility – Deemed the weakest of the virtues, and targeted by bully from
Pride, Diligence and Temperance, Humility is a flaked guy who thinks he
doesn’t deserve anything at all. He meets his demise at the hands of
Pride.

Chastity
is the opposite of lust. It did not necessarily mean strict abstinence.
Instead, it meant wholesome appetites. The Latin word castitas came from
the word castus, meaning pure. Many people think that chastity means
virginity, but the word originally meant that you did not engage in
improper sexual activities. In other words, a person would not have
premarital or extramarital sex. For Roman Catholic monks and nuns, this
meant complete abstinence from sex. Some Eastern religions have similar
rules.
Chastity -

Temperance
In the United States, the word temperance came to mean abstinence from
alcohol. However, temperance (temperantia) originally meant moderation or
self‐restraint. It could mean making reasonable sacrifices so that others
can have what they need.
Charity
generosity is the opposite of greed. Faith, hope, and charity were
regarded as the three theological virtues. Charity in that sense is
sometimes taken to mean love, but Thomas Aquinas felt that it really means
friendship. Charity and generosity mean that you are not tied down by your
possessions but that you are willing to help other people by giving freely
to them.

Diligence
means hard work. Diligent people work hard, and they fulfill all of their
responsibilities.

Patience
is the opposite of wrath. Patience means self‐control under trying
circumstances. A patient person tries to find peaceful, mutually
acceptable solutions to conflicts.

Kindness
is the opposite of envy. A kind person is concerned for others and pleased
when they are doing well. A related concept is benevolence, which means
that you wish to do something good for someone else.
