1) Create 5 questions that you would ask the management of the company to find its business
goals and constraints. State what information you expected to get with each question.

i) What is the organizational structure of the company?

I would ask them the organizational structure of the company in order to gain
information about the corporate structure so I would understand how the company is
structured in departments, lines of business, vendors, partners and field or remote
offices.

ii) What is the overall goal of the network for the company?
For what will the new network be used?
How will the new network help the customer be more successful in the customer’s
business?
I would ask these questions to understand the customer’s criteria for success.

iii) What is the final goal that has to be achieve by the company to be satisfied?
I would ask these to know the goal of the company is based on what exactly such as cost
or something else.

iv) What is your business purpose of the new network?

To gain information about the business-oriented statement to know their main need.

v) How many computers are needed be to set and for how fast the internet should be?
To gain knowledge the requirement of the company to suggest a better idea based on
their needs.

To gain knowledge about the customer’s need on choosing an ISP.

guarded company secrets?
To gain knowledge in order to plan a security design of the network.

iv) Can we do a scalability test on your company to identify its limitations and raise
network availability?
Gain consent from the organization to run any kind of fieldwork test.

v) Do you have access to the Besut website's new natural disaster research
section?
To gain information about the disasters that has been happening in the site to
plan a disaster recovery.

To gain information about the methodology of the previous network design

network in your company.
To gain information on how the network is structured and planned.

iii) What are your organization's network design's operational objectives?

To gain information on the operational goals of the network design of the company to
implement or upgrade the network based on that.

iv) Does the business use remote desktop access or enforce BYOD (bring your own device)
policies?
To gain information on the policies and behavior of the employees on the network.

v) Do you restrict access to any websites in your business?

To gain information on the limitation of the organization in the access of the website.

How much you can afford for the WAN circuits, hiring, training and maintaining
personnel to operate and manage the network?

company’s information?

What would be the financial cost of someone accessing the data and stealing
trade secrets?

How many more sites will be added in the next year? The next 2 years?

What is availability requirement and specify timeframe for the network in your
company that you wish?

7) Identify THREE (3) computer network problems that might arise with the opening of the new
office.
i) Slow network: There are 65 departments in the network, which is a component of a
broader organizational structure. Because of this, replies from cloud-resident
applications have slowed as a result of a change in the larger network that has increased
traffic across the internet connection point.
ii) Performance Degradation: Refers to problems with speed and data integrity loss as a
result of subpar transmissions. While all networks are subject to performance problems,
huge networks are more so because of the increased distance, endpoints, and added
hardware at midpoints.
iii) Security concern: Because larger networks have more entry points where intruders
might enter, they are more prone to assault. More users, passwords, and technology
increase the potential entry points for hackers.

8) Suggest ONE (1) solution to one of the problems that you identified in Question 7. Justify your
answer.
i) Restart your modems and routers to raise and improve your network's speed. Certain
Internet connectivity issues, such as slow wireless connections and no Internet
connectivity, can be resolved by rebooting the router.
