Hi Beth,

I’m really sorry you’ve been ill. I hope you’ve recovered by now but reading your lines I
think you’re doing excellent. I’ve never been absent for four months in a row so I can’t
imagine your situation.
However, I’ve noticed that your school seems not to help you at all. I assume they could
manage for you some time to fall back into the habit of attending school every day. Also, your
teachers could’ve revised with you those four months’ school curriculum. You didn’t mention
but I hope that after you’ve returned they gave you a break while you were catching up with
the arrears of work.
Personally, I recommend resting after you’ve arrived home then with renewed energy you can
continue studying or other activities. Go to bed early in order to be reposeful the next day.
You should commence or resume some sport because after a while it’ll give you energy and it
produces endorphins which is healthy for your well-being.
If I were you I would definitely ask for help from my friends from school. I’m sure yours will
support you with everything too, both mentally and physically. If you ask they are going to
give you their notes for school. You can hang out again after such a long time creating new
inside jokes.
