Install Reduced Pressure Wiper Arm and

Centering Retrofit

1. Raise feeder house and set safety stops (A).

2. Move wiper arm to left-side of windshield glass.

3. Tape both lower blades to glass.

4. Remove lock nuts (A) and (B) and cross bracket from
arm.

5. Remove main wiper arm from guide lever assembly.

6. Remove loading pin (A) from new wiper arm and install
into old arm to relieve spring tension.

7. Remove nut (A) and upper wiper arm.

8. Remove nut (A) and wiper arm from pivot stud.

9. Remove knurled driver (A).

10. Remove cap screws (A) and visor (B).

11. Remove front headliner.

NOTE: Removal of wiper motor is not necessary.

Coupling can be removed from pivot crank with a
screwdriver or prybar.

12. Disconnect coupler from pivot shaft crank (A), rotate

pivot shaft crank to 6 o’clock position.

13. Remove loading pin from old arm and install into new
arm. Install new wiper arm and nut (A) on re-indexed
pivot shaft. Tighten nut to specification.

Specification
Wiper Arm Nut Torque ................................................................... 18 N•m

14. Remove loading pin from wiper arm and rotate over
to guide lever assembly.

15. Install cross bracket and tighten nuts (A) and (B).

16. Install upper wiper arm and tighten nut (A).

17. Remove tape from blades and rotate pivot crank back
to 6 o’clock position and re-install coupler to crank.

18. Cycle wipers to check new wiper pattern.

19. Install headliner and visor.
