Introduction

Lab Interface System provides connectivity between Hospital Information System and
Laboratory diagnostic analyzers.

Following is the list of analyzers available in the Lab Interface System.

Interface Troubleshooting
The interface will work smoothly only when the “exe’s - Medi Interface Software” is open.
Before starting the sample processing, once check and confirm whether the application is
opened or not and Com port is opened without any error.

 How to find the Medi-exe, when it is closed or minimized? , follow the below
references. Attached the screenshot for reference

Whenever the application is minimized, then we can find the Medi-exe in the Notification Bar,
available in the right side corner of the system, where the exe is configured and cable is connected.

 If you found “Access to ‘Com 3’ is denied” error, in Medi Application(exe) then

may be the exe opened multiple times or the same com port is assigned to other
active machine in the same system.

Note: The exe should not be open more than once.

 If you found “The port 'COM3' does not exist” error, then follow the below steps
to check whether the configured com port is available or not in the system.

Go to Control Panel
 Open Device Manager
 Check the Port Details

For example: If the current configured port is “com3” then the same should be available while viewing
in Device Manager.

This shows
available port

 If the serial connection is enabled through “USB to serial Port convertor”, then it should be
connected properly. Otherwise, the ports won’t reflect in the system.
 So if the port is inaccessible then it shows error and machine wont communicate which results
in interface problems.

Here the required port is unavailable, in this need to recover the old port or else need to reconfigure the
application with new available port.
