Indian Officer - Ahem.. That's really strange, why should we pay taxes for our own salt?

British Officer - Yes. We made it illegal for any Indian to produce and sell any salt. We also made salt
unaffordable and whoever does so will be imprisoned

Indian Officer - Oh it would be really impossible for the poor to buy salt and afford to pay such taxes.
It would also affect the income of our poor Indians.

protest British rule and the unfair laws. They walked about 12 miles a day and reached Dandi in 3
weeks.

tomorrow
Gandhiji - That's fine Sarojini.. Hope we gain the attention of the British.. This protest will go a long
way in our battle of freedom!

Gandhi Ji - This is a battle of right against might! (Gandhi picked few crystals of salt) and
said........"With these crystals of salt i will shake the foundation of the British Empire"

the British Empire. 80,000 people were sent to jail for following the Salt March.

Gandhi to London to discuss reforms in India. The Gandhi salt march got
wide news coverage and proved to be a turning point in the history of
India's Independence movement. This led to the independence in 1947.

foundation of the British Empire in India.
