This document assigns a term paper for an Advanced Microeconomics course at Hawassa University. Students are divided into three groups and assigned topics on theories of demand to review from relevant books and articles. Group I must cover the Marshallian demand curve and compensated and uncompensated demand curves. Group II must cover revealed preferences in demand analysis and Giffen goods/paradox. Group III must cover elasticity of demand including income, own price, and cross price elasticity. Students must demonstrate their findings both mathematically and graphically, and the paper accounts for 20% of the course grade.
