PRE-WRITING PROCESS

1. THINK OF A TOPIC, cryptocurrencies.

2. ASSUME A POSITION. I defend it

3. TURN THE TOPIC INTO A CLAIM: should cryptocurrencies be legal tender.

4. MAKE A CHART WITH REASONS FOR AND AGAINST. i.e., reasons in favor and
against the claim (Arguments and Counterarguments).

Arguments in favor Counterarguments (Against)

- The exact amount of available - Used for money laundering
tokens is known - Easy to scam others
- Got many perks such as smart - They have a fictional value
contracts, low fees for - You can’t track transactions.
transactions, etc
- You use a currency that all the
world dictate their value, not
just a government

1. TURN THOSE PHRASES AND WORDS INTO FULL SENTENCES. (See below)

- The exact amount of tokens is public domain information, so you know it is not
a Ponzi scheme or a scam, as people may think.
- You can send transactions to any part of the world with very low fees.
- The same network helps the community do the transactions of any business
with the help of smart contracts. The same network verifies everything has
been done under the standards set by those involved in said transaction.
1. TURN YOUR CLAIM INTO A THESIS STATEMENT: There are two ways to do
this: 1. Claim + reasons; 2. Major counterargument + claim.

Thesis statement:
Many people claim that their country's currency is a safe choice or even the
best choice to keep their wealth. However, I strongly believe that
cryptocurrencies are a much better option because they are changing the
economic world globally.

1. Write a topic sentence (a hook). Something to get the reader's attention.

It can be a question, a surprising fact, and an attention grabber.

We are living in a world that is constantly changing. One of its more important
aspects is the economic, which moves the planet in a certain direction in the world
that we live in.

2. Expand on the topic sentence. Say more about it, but don’t use your
arguments yet.
Today's most used currency of exchange is the dollar and other fiats such as
Euro and sterlings, which are backed by their corresponding governments. Other
currencies have begun to emerge. Those are the cryptocurrencies that are not
backed by any institution and are also winning intrinsic value so that Bitcoin, the
biggest cryptocurrency, has had a value of over sixty thousand dollars.
3. Turn your arguments into one sentence.

4. Finally, place your thesis statement right at the end.

Although many people claim that their country's currency is a safe choice or even
the best choice to keep their wealth. However, I strongly believe that
